Advantages: Rock solid and good number of features Disadvantages: Whatever I feed my kids they always get it down their clothes!
...Apparantly this is a brand new model from Bosch and it was recommended by the website I bought it from (http://www.internetkitchenappliances.co.uk/feed). I only took delivery a few weeks ago but as a mum of 4 I am really happy with the selection of programmes and little features like the time remaining, shorter quick wash programmes and the variable spin speeds. When they told me how much a good built in washer would cost I freaked out but I think it's a good idea to get a better quality one and spend a little more, some of the other brands were as low as £350 delivered and it just seemed like I would be asking for trouble. If it breaks and you have a large family it would be a nightmare, which is why I went for the Bosch model....

...Really pleased with this machine recommend by my mum. Washes really well and is quite quiet when spinning compared to most other machines I have heard.
What I love best is that I the larger barrel allows me to wash more clothes in each cycle so I have now reduced my weekly washing down by 1 load! It is also very simple to use: just turn the knob to the desired wash and press the on off button. The only thing I would say is my 18 month old can use it, she shuts the door and turns on the button and we then have an empty machine running, which is not very economical!
On the downside the washes take a little bit longer , but if you are willing to wait a bit longer you will be pleased with the result....

Advantages: WELL KNOWN MAKE - MADE TO LAST Disadvantages: DESIGN OF RUBBER
...Having had lots of Washing Machines, I decided to try a Bosch to see if it lasted any longer than my previous purchases. At first I was very happy with my machine everything was nice and clean came out really well spun (ESSENTIAL AS I TUMBLE DRY EVERYTHING). After approximately 6 months I kept finding a residue on my washing and a horrible smell was coming from the machine. I tried loads of different things to stop this problem, but nothing seemed to work. I pulled the rubber forward one day only to find a horrible grey sludgey residue which I can only assume was a build up of washing powder and that this was the deposits on my washing. I scrapped this out which took a while as it was difficult to get to in places, still the problem of the smell was there. I telephoned bosch and before I told my whole story I was asked do I do...
