Having lived in my home now for a few years, we have naturally made the progression up the 'Lawnmower Ranks'.
With high overheads to begin with, we plump for a cheap as chips Flymo - it did the job, but after a while it became a chore. Then the missus walks in with a bigger all singing & all dancing Flymo, my eyes pop out - 'wow' - and once again my life - being a typical bloke who loves all things that make noises - in whatever capacity I might add, has just become even more fulfilling.
Hovering over the grass - somewhat weightless and actually catching the grass this time as opposed to leaving it in heaps, it was fabulous. Then one day my beloved Flymo decided to die on me and after a hardly extensive search on the Internet trying to diagnose the problem, it appeared that a problem synonymous with these machines had struck.
With finances at an all-time low and having the hardly joyous task of informing 'er indoors', we had to find a mower that would now last - without breaking the bank. Something 'too good to be true' the wife screamed. But what a decision I ultimately made. Mowing the lawn as it says in this title has now become an enjoyable experience - seriously, I actually look forward to doing it! Sad you think? Probably so, but I don’t care.
The 34 is the cheapest in the Rotak series. Each model appears to go up increments of around £30, so you can actually spend another hundred or so on the top models, but if you don’t have a lot to spend and want a decent mower – then buy the 34. Seriously, it’s top notch. It has six different cutting lengths (which can be easily adjusted) so cuts extremely short and has a huge collection bucket which sits firmly on the rear of the mower. It also compacts the grass tightly meaning you’re not spending half of your time travelling to and from the bin. The cut is also short and neat and does the job in one quick length of the lawn - no need to be dragging back and forth to hit the spot.
As you've probably gathered, I can't speak highly enough of this mower and if you do decide to take the plunge, I'm almost certain you won't be disappointed.
