...DO NOT BUY THIS HOB Amazing! I've also never before written a bad review about a Bosch product - here's my first, since this hob is unworkable and - as another reviewer says - possibly dangerous. While induction hobs are sold as safe, quick and clean, there is really no excuse for such poor interface design. To control the front left zone, you have to touch the controller from 5 to 15 times. I can't imagine what prompted Bosch of all companies to use this interface, unless this was an entry to the market with a "lowest price point" segment in mind. It might be no coincidence that Bosch have brought out a replacement (pie640E01e) last September. I did and I regretted it immediately - not least that it was embarrassing to admit to my kids I couldn't work it (neither could they).... Read review

Advantages: washes without fail, low maintenance, huge capacity, adjustable shelves, multi-programmes
Disadvantages: expensive and noisy

...When I moved into my first house and had to finally start doing all of my own washing, cooking and cleaning the first thing that gave way was my desire to leave my hands soaking in water for 30 minutes every day while I washed up dishes and pots, something I have to admit is something of a compulsion. I cannot leave even one glass in the washing up bowl, it has to be empty otherwise I cannot settle or relax. As a way of keeping me away from the kitchen sink my husband returned from ordering a washing machine with a delivery docket for the Bosch SGI45E16GB and a very smug grin on his face. While I was happy at the thought I was not impressed in the slightest that he had paid a total of £350 for an appliance that would take up lots of room in the kitchen and increase our electricity usage at a time when we had just moved into our first...
