I brought the Bosch Sensixx Comfort Power iron a few weeks ago now after mine gave up the ghost with a bang. I needed something that will be reliable and powerful, so I chose this one.

~Features~

It has the maximum power wattage which is 2600w which heats up very quickly.

It has a large water container which holds up to 300ml.

3m length power cord which is very handy for me as I lack plug sockets in my home.

Stainless steel scratch resistant soleplate, which also is great for me as there is less chance of it sticking to the clothes and burning, it is very smooth over any fabric and I feel I can iron at ease. Also there is a groove all around the iron so when you are ironing around buttons the buttons fit neatly between the groove which makes for a lot smoother iron.

The control setting dial is placed on top of the water tank and you just turn it to what ever setting is preferred.

360° cord socket joint which I find very helpful its like a ball and sockets joint so can move in any direction, in the past with other irons I have own the cord tended to get all twisted and in one case the outer protection of the cord started to fray.
Double sided water level indicator so whether left or right handed you can easily see how much water you have left in the iron.

It has a 40g/min variable steam which is a very high amount of steam and this makes ironing so much easier, there are 3 settings for steam on the iron, none if you want to dry iron or 1 if you want a medium amount or 2 if you want the maximum with constant steam and with this iron you do get a lot.

95g/min shot of steam is also is very powerful, this function is used if you have very stubborn creases in your clothes but not be used on delicate items.
You can also use the steam shot for vertical steam, if you have something hanging up like a shirt or curtains and you notice a crease in it, then you can easily remove it with this feature, just hold the iron between 10 and 20 cm away from the item then press the jet steam button which is situated on top of the iron and repeat this every 5 seconds until the crease is removed.

Water spray again you can use this if you find a very stubborn cease, but to be honest I don’t very often use this as I always have a spray bottle next to be full of water, to spray on the clothes I find it covers a much wider area then the spray from the iron, but not just this iron I find it with all irons.

Auto anti-scale system this feature will reduce the amount of lime scale build up although it will not stop it completely it will prolong the life of the iron, now for me I need all the help I can get as I do an awful lot of ironing. But you can also follow the following steps to help reduce lime build up as well by using1 part distilled water to 1 part tap water or if you live in a very hard water area 2 parts distilled water to 1 part tap water, also every no and then it is advised to heat the iron up then holding it horizontally over a sink or bowl and then press the jet steam button this will remove any lime scale or dirt deposits that may be in your iron and will be dispersed of through the holes in the soleplate.

Anti-drip leak protection system this function automatically stops the iron from producing steam if you have it on a low heat setting.

Fabric protection AIR-System, this is an air chamber that is between the heating element and the soleplate which makes sure that the heat is distributed evenly, which in turn reduces the risk of ruining your clothes.

It has a Temperature control light at the base of the iron once it has reached your desired temperature the light will then go out, it also has a fairly soft grip handle; personally due to the amount I do it could do with being slightly softer

Also compared to a lot of irons I have used in the past it is very light only 1.2kg even when full it is still relatively light.

The iron itself looks very stylish it is grey and black in colour even you men would not be ashamed of it, it’s not girly at all.
It has a very neat small sliding hatch on it for the water tank which is situated on the front of the iron, slide it open to reveal a square opening for you to fill the water tank, but mind not to do it to quickly or air bubbles form and stop the water from entering the water tank then it spills down the side of the iron. Once full slide the cover shut.

~Verdict~

So far so good I am pleased with the overall performance of this iron, the clothes are left creased free, and I think the most impressive part is the amount of steam it produces, which makes it a very powerful iron. It glides easily over any fabrics.
I work from home and own a small ironing company. Gasp I here you say, yes I make a living by doing a job most people hate, but that is why I go through a lot of irons and that is why I need a high quality one without spending a ridiculas amount of money, which leads me on to the price, I brought mine for £49.99 but has now been reduced to £39.99 from Argos, I know a lot of you may think it’s a lot of money for an iron but as I make money from it the ironing needs to be of high standards, which I can happily say my customers think it is.
I have never used Bosch before but am happy to say I would do again in the future so therefore I would recommend this iron.

The iron comes with a full instruction manual

Thank you very much for reading.
