Advantages Easy to use,glides threw the ironing
Disadvantages Carry handles on the side a bit pointless

Been looking for a steam generator iron for a few weeks now as my previous compact generator which I had for about 6yrs packed in. I was wanting one that was a good make that didn't need replacement cartridges. My mum recently bought a tefal top of the range generator iron and after using that one I had my heart set on one too however they don't come cheap. Then I spotted the special offers in argos and I was torn between the phillips GC8520/02 which had excellent reviews or this BoschTDS2021 which had no reviews but was state of the art,new on the market. Advantages Excellent when it works
Disadvantages Water tank isn't detachable so entire thing has to be tipped upside down to empty

I'm on my second Bosch TDS2021 Sensixx B20L Comfort in less than 12 months and it has now packed up just like the first. Despite following the cleaning/de-calc'ing instructions to the letter, once again it has stopped generating steam. Don't know the casue and have reached the point where I don't care. These are expensive irons and I would have expected a much higher level of quality from Bosch. Can't decide whether to return under warranty as I did with the first, as I really don't want a THIRD one - I suspect it will go the same way as the others.
