Not up to Bosch standard

Advantages Smooth ironing plate
Disadvantages Spits water at start of ironing cycle.
I have had this steam station just over two years and bought Bosch because of its reputation.
However although the build quality appears to be solid, functionally it is not up to Bosch's normal standard.
The iron always spitted out water at start-up which according to the user manual was a sign of overfilling, but even with the tank half full it gave trouble.
When it worked, it worked well, but now it has given up the ghost.
The light now comes on to indicate low water reserve, but the tank is more than three quarters full.
The light to indicate that steam is ready for use is on, bit there is no steam.
Recently steam generation began to get sporadic until it stopped producing steam altogether.
For the money I would have expected better things.
As with all consumer's in this situation, I must now consider if it is worth the cost of sending this item back and having it repaired (probably at a cost) - or buy another.
If I buy another, I don't think it will be a Bosch.
