The thing is when you look past all the fine print of the power, eco rubbish etc even the colour the machines in effect all do the same job.

I opted for Bosch WAE28467 at £345 a reasonable price with the retailer's delivery and removing the old machine it seemed ok.
Although my theory may be a little blind for my own benefit this is a Green eco machine, when you open the manual.
Cold Fill only
Cold water only goes into the machine as opposed ... more
Machine failures and great timings
As far as washing machines go I feel they are an expensive luxury necessity, all this said I do like my clothes to be clean and smell fresh.
There is indeed nothing like putting on freshly washed and dried clothes, and having had a disaster of my old washer wanting to spit its drum out and give up the ghost I had in the most expensive time of year (Christmas) to find the cash for a new one.
Hay ho, the struggle
When I say struggle I mean Wow where do you begin big one small one sliver one white one even a black one. Big doors small doors large load smaller loads, eco friendly, not so eco friendly, power saving, power hungry, fast spin, slow spin.
The list is endless, but I sat and thought, granted not for long as I had limited days to get this machine, I thought to myself "look through all the Jargon" I did and got the one that would look best in my Kitchen.

Oooooooooooooh I hear you say "this man is clever" I only say this as it is a splattering technique really to screw up your brain in the decision making process and leave you open to rash decisions and direction from sales guy.
Anyway rambling will not explain my purchase but I opted for one aesthetically pleasing to me with only a splattering of details being read. Rash I hear you say, Maybe yes but only to stop the mind going into freefall and exploding.
The Tick list in the mind went like this
1. Correct colour (white) 2. Decent speed (1400) 3. Price ok (£345) 4. Load ok (7kg)
Blah to all the eco technicalities, if it for sale in this day and age it should be good for the environment so why pay extra for a GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN machine when it should or will be automatically anyway.
The Machine

Cold Fill only Cold water only goes into the machine as opposed to hot and cold fill, which fills with warm water. Hot water alone is too hot for most washes so cold water-cools the temperature. In a cold fill the machine will heat the water. This is no more expensive than a hot and cold fill, infact it means you are not wasting hot water.
24 hours delay start timer = Allows the start time of the wash to be set in the future
15 minutes quick wash (Why you would use this?)
Time remaining indicator to show what and how many cycles have been done
1.19 kW energy consumption = eco friendly
A+ grade energy efficiency = Graded on a Scale of A - G (A being the best) A grade wash performance = Graded on a Scale of A - G (A being the best) B grade spin efficiency = Rated on a scale of A-G (A being the best)
Automatic water level control
1400 rpm spin speed = the faster the spin speed, the more water is removed from your clothes.
55 minutes 40 degrees mixed cotton = Guide wash time for a 40 degree mixed cotton wash.
7 kg wash load = Maximum dry load.
Am I a happy washer
Yes by doodly I am, this machine is faster and quieter the other machine that was only 4 years old, and in the back of my mind I am glad it is and efficient machine.
For the price I could have got a raw deal, also if I double my money I could have got less of a machine, Bosch is a reliable Brand and highly recommended indeed. This is my first Bosch machine and unless they go down in quality it wont be my last. Thank you for reading my little adventure and the happiness I found in getting a good deal and quality machine, I sincerely recommend this if you're in need to invest in a washing machine.
