We got this washer in 98' to replace our old Bendix washer. first thing i noticed about the new machine was how little water it used in comparrison to the old washer. I just didnt look as if the clothes where getting a proper wash, but luckily wasnt the case, well no enierly anyway!.
I found to get a half decent wash out of that machine you had to use a long wash, 2hours+ plus in that machine. it lasted "wellish'" shall we say, as it broke down after the first year as it was programmed incorrectly during manufacturing.
After this we continued to use it for another 2 years when the belt snapped, got the replaced. then it started leaking beacause the emergency drain hose underneath the machie had cinked and any water that went into the machine would run straight out of it.
We decided to get rid in 05' when the pump went as we spent in exess of £200 worth of repairs on it, so it would just be more cost economical.

...want to find out if Bosch is just a fashionable name or if their machines really work. Let me tell you. They work - and some. First, it's easy to install. I'm clumsy when it comes to practical things, but it took me about half an hour to get it all plumbed in. Next, it's easy to use. No dials to click to right position. Just set the temperature and press the start button. And then listen... you will enjoy the peace and quiet - even when its spinning.
... ...My T shirts have been rejuvenated. And now when the kids come back in mud-caked jeans, one wash sorts it all out. Goodbye to all that scrubbing and soaking...
Yes, it's a bit pricey. But we managed to save over £100 on high street prices by shopping around in the internet. ...

Advantages: very easy to understand and use Disadvantages: takes ages to go through a 60degree wash
this is one of the quietest washing machines i have ever used, it's easy to keep clean and the drum holds a good size amount of clothes. it is an A rating so the power usage is low, you could put this on overnight and you would not disturb the neighbours or your sleeping family.
the controls are easy to understand so even if you lost the manual you could still use it with no problems. It has seperate spin speeds so you can control the amount of ... ...a cold wash, so if you have delicates that need this type of wash its great for them and they do no get out of shape or torn on another wash cycle. the only down side that i have encountered is the hot washes take ages up to two hours. ...
