So, having found a washing machine that actually works, and doesn't break under the pounding it takes from my family of four, I decided to change the tumble dryer to a new one - for the sake of neatness, and because my creditcard was being sarcastic, It had to be a Bosch. So, off to the shops I toddled, and promptly had a coronary at the prices. This exxcel model set me back over £300, and this is a year ago. I've seen them going over £400 since! Now, there are two good things about this machine, and i'll tell you what they are. Just for the sake of being a good reviewer, of course!
Controls There's a grand total of two things to get worried about on this machine. There's the Start/Stop button, and the bit that turns around to tell the machine just how cooked you want your clothes. Lets go with the easy one first shall we? The start stop button. My mother can't use this - it refuses to recognise her finger on the touchpad for some reason. I don't see this as a problem myself - it causes me much hilarity! The turny bit has several settings. You have delicates and others on this - and you can cook them from "iron dry" to "Crispy" (only joking, the most cooked setting is "Extra Dry".).
Now, here's the clever bit. The machine stops when it detects that your clothes are cooked enough. Don't ask me how it knows, but, depending on the setting you choose, it'll merrily tumble away, occasionally switching directions, until its dry enough to qualify. It'll even, once your clothes are gently steamed, and it thinks tehy're dry, keep tumbling it once in a while to stop them creasing.
