Advantages: Good at drying as well as washing. 2yr guarantee as standard.
Disadvantages: Noisy pump

...This machine washes well (40 degree cotton wash takes 1 hr 8 mins) The drying function is good (1 hr 10 mins approx to dry a cotton load) and the automatic drying function works really well - not dried to a crisp or too damp. The 1200 spin gets things dry without too much creasing (having had a 1600 spin machine previously there is little difference in dryness but a big reduction in vibration and noise with a full load).. Main complaint is that the machine is quite noisy - especially the pump which runs every 10 seconds or so when drying or continuously when spinning. This is my 3rd washer dryer. Have had good experience with Zanussi and terrible experience with Hotpoint the 2 year guarantee that comes as standard was a key reason for purchase. The Bosch has less features than the machine it replaced but overall it washes as good... Read review

...This Bosh washing machine is absolutely diabolical! I can hardly believe that a washing machine built in 2007 cannot get rid of general stains - blood, fruit squash, egg to name a few. Our Bosh Classixx 1200 S Express WAE 2416SGB/01 is just 3 months old. With 2 children I wash clothes, sheets, towels and so on on a daily basis, but nothing is coming up clean. We use the same washing detergent, fabric softener and stain remover that we used to use with our Hotpoint (7 years old) - the Hotpoint was simply fantastic, and the only reason that we didn't take it with us when we moved house was that it was integrated into the kitchen. I MISS my Hotpoint so much. We also have a Bosch Dishwasher (also 3 months old) and this appliance is also way below standard. Quite simply I am disgusted with Bosch, and would NEVER recommend them.... Read review

...This Bosch dishwasher is a mighty fine piece of equipment. Very quiet, compared to our old Hotpoint machine, efficient and with many useful features. Ours came with some extra racks for long sharp knives etc and folding racks to accomodate larger saucepans etc. It even has a special spray adapter for baking trays. The High Street price may seem a little dear but we got a very good price by punting around on the net. This is now our 3rd piece of Bosch equipment, and so far none have let us down in any way. You can buy cheaper, but ...cheap is cheap! Whichever Bosch machine you buy I'm sure you won't be disappointed...even though it is from Germany! Buy it!... Read review
