My wife has asked that I write this review about the machine.
I had to buy this one as our previous machine finally failed through rusting from leaking. She wanted a new one. I said get it and I will pay. This is what you get for your money.

Description: A front loading freestanding machine, with ribbed metal sides and plastic work top. There is a plastic piece attached
with two large headed screws at the lower front base, but more of this later.

From Left to right on the top are the Input drawer for powder/conditioner etc. Next 4 press switches that are; on/off, Rinse hold, Eco and Spin Speed.
Next is a Knob that controls the temperature: from cold to 90.Clockwise turning.
Next is the Drying Time knob: From 0 to 120 mins. Counter clockwise turning
Finally is the main programming knob. This has 12 pre programmed cycles.

There are two small lights on this panel. Top is the ON indicator and bottom is the Door Lock

This machine is normally transported with 4 bolts holding the drum immobile and it has adjustable feet. An easy to understand
instruction booklet with clear diagrams is included in package.

Unlike some machines, This one requires only a cold water input.

If you are considering installing this machine, access to water input and drainage must be considered. If uncertain, Get a plumber
who is also a builder to install the drain through any exterior wall. You really do not want to try this unless you do know what you are doing.

Operations.
This machine has what is termed a Primo Wash and Shower System.
This means that water is collected from around the drum whilst in operation and this is showered onto the clothing.
The machine will automatically adjust the water requirement for the size of the load and the fabric type.

By using only a cold fill, only such water as is required is heated. With programmes and detergents now designed to work at lower temperatures, this can save you as water from the hot system in a house can vary in temperature from room to room
depending on distance from hot tank.

The machine is easy to clean and maintain. Bosch have stated that even if a model goes out of production, Spares will still be available for ten years.

The Input soap drawer can be removed by pulling out to the fullest extent, Press the spring on the rear down, and out it comes.
Cleaning should be done with water. That goes for the whole machine. Solvent based cleaners MUST be avoided. Standard detergent dampened cloth will do. You DO NOT want water in the controls, this can lead to expensive repairs.

In operation this machine is very quiet. You would hardly know that it is on. Vibration whilst spinning is very much reduced also. Some care should be taken as to the placement of the
machine. Very highly polished tile floors may require a restraint system. But placed on wood, carpet or cork tile and it stays put.

The only drawback that I have found is the self cleaning filter system.
Access is gained to this by removing the plastic trim at the lower front of the machine. The access port is flush with the machines face and the large access screw must be rotated
counter clockwise. Any water left in the system, and there is always some, will start to come out at once. There is no way to get a container under this port to collect the waste water so generally you have to use a large towel or lots of kitchen
paper and will get some on the kitchen floor.
As this is at the lowest point it is not very accessible, you will have to sit or kneel on the floor to get at it.
The trim will prevent any childish fingers from causing a disaster
during operations.(water all over the floor, child in distress)

Whilst in use the door is locked. This again prevents accidentally putting in your hand, or a child’s hand in operation.

The fast and quiet work that this machine makes of its load means that you can do a wash overnight and not wake children or neighbours. Noise about 3 decibels only.

There is nothing unfortunately to stop you from putting the pet cat in for a wash cycle or from loosing one sock(where do they go).

All in all a very good machine. I already had the plumbing fixtures, hot/cold and drain. All the shop delivery had to do was unpack, connect up the cold water. Fit the drain up, remove travelling bolts, move it into position in the workspace, plug it in and take away the old one. All done in less than half an hour, including tea and chat.

Cost Less than £500.00

In conclusion this machine does what is required, when it is required. And it does not cost a lot either. All in all ot is a very good buy.

We are not looking for a new machine at the moment . . . we bought a hot/cold fill (?unbranded?) machine from Thompson Electricals for £129 in 2004 which has a pretty good spin and a low energy rating; it only puts in enough water to wash the weight and fabric of the load . . . the drawback is the extended wash time for a load (over an hour to even two hours!) . . . ♥jesi ♥
