Hi. I love traveling, skiing, music. Got my dream job selling Hi-Fi a while ago. It was hard work - just fetching & carrying for no reward. Back at an electronics bench now. If I could just find a job combining those first 3 things....

Bose. They say 'better sound by design'. More like, better sound by marketing.
This system has extremely poor sound, looks very cheap with extensive use of cheap plastic pieces which show every fingureprint.
This system has what I would describe as 'charateristic Bose sound'. This bears no relation to Hi-Fi whatsoever. It can best be explained as having a bloated, flatulent bass which overpowers a weak, muffled midrange all topped off with a strident, fatigueing top end.
The physical design of the system speakers goes against everything that quality manufacturers know to be essential to get speakers to sound natural or even anywhere near 'right'. And any system, this small, quoting the power output that it does is very suspect, too.
I used to sell Hi-Fi and people would often ask about these systems. We used to tell them that 'Bose' was an acronym for Bloody 'Orible Sounding Electronics! We would then show them something way better or even something that sounded about the same, for a tenth the price.
Bose charges serious money for these systems. The player is buggy and near impossible to use without the manual. Its supposed to be great as a party music system. A friend has one and at parties, even he cannot get it to play the music he wants it to. Nobody else can ever get it to do anything - apart from change volume or stop. Both useful, but not altogether what you want for a great party atmosphere. Pity he didn't know me when he was considering buying it
If you are thinking about buying Bose, do yourself a huge favour - go listen to the truely great Tannoy Arenaspeaker system. It looks fabulous, sounds even better and its not made of tacky plastic.
You can add a descent surround amp and player or even a media center (look at Cambridge Audio) and never look back at this awful piece of tat and wish you'd bought it!

The product is not worth further comment IMHO. Anyway audio gear shouldn't be bought without listening to it first.

Its a good idea to take time over a review, making sure all relevant information is included in it and that it is well written and useful in allowing readers to make an informed decision as to whether the product is for them.
Theres very little information in this review, I couldnt make a decision based on this.
If you decide to re-do it, let me know when you have and Ill rate it higher if it merits.
