This unit is simple fantastic; The more i use it the more impressed i am. I have taken the time to write this as i could not find any other reviews anywhere on the internet about the V20 or V30 system from actual owners.

Do Like's;
Sound is fantastic dvd's not come across as though i am in a cinema.
Music is totally different; i hear instruments that i didnt know was there before. A piano sounds live as though in the room.
Picture quality is excellent from old devices, It has improved my old DVD player, Sky+ and even the Nintendo Wii due to using component & optical cables to the Bose media centre which through a single HDMI lead then connects to our tv get the best we can up to a 1080p screen from none HD devices.

This also helps with the connecivity from all the devices to the Bose system and then the Bose system to the TV via HDMI. Dont forget an optical cable from the TV to the Bose for normal TV!. So very easy for wiring.

As with a system at this cost you want the system to not only perform but also to look good! I dont care what people say, but the posing factor on this system is there and you know it! Therefore the Bose premium jewel speakers look great in white; The Bose V30 and Lifestyle 48 are the only systems to come with the tiny Bose premium jewel speakers! You can tell this by the white metal grille facials they have. The are even more discrete when installed to the walls ;-)

For those who are after quality it's sound is consistant from very low volume to mid-volume and FYI we have not dared to take it past 40% as it is just too loud...and not distortion @ 40% either!

Don't Likes;
The remote is quite large. Work Wifi not infra red so a Bonus when listening to music/radio take anywhere in the house and turn up the volume.

Although a neat idea it is going to take hours to setup the remote as it can also control all the major functions of my other devices i.e. sky & dvd player. This helps as it can turn them all on/off from a single button; saves switching sources on remotes and other uses. The remote is a bit boring to look at and is quite big. Thinkin of getting the Logitech Harmony One remote long term though...

Only 2xHDMI sockets; but there is in total 4xComponent/optical connections though. Sound is Twin Phono, Optical for the 4xSources, but it has 2xDigital one link to 1xSource and the other is nicely assignable to your choice of other source.

First impressions of Adaptiq is not that good - my partner and i found the best sound straight out of the box, but our living room is a awkwardly shaped large "L" with the tv at the lower join of the "L"; so not going to rule Adatiq out.

Overall Conclusion;
Yes it is expensive, however this system is going to last us years. It has the inputs to give us the choice to change kit i.e. blu-ray or hd etc etc. I could not commit to purchasing a lifestyle 28/38/48 system as the technology other than the speakers is out of date. Lifestyle 48 has no HDMI's; Restricted DVD play back ie divx or multi-region not to mention HD-DVD's yet...Bose have hit the nail on the head with this system, it gives you the owner to be flexible and know your not througing awat a lump of cash on a system that will be out of date in a year!
