~Introduction~
============================================
The Bose Sound Dock, is an exceptional piece of kit, the clarity of sound and the amazing quality really help you to appreciate the hidden subtleties that is the wonder of music.
======================================
~Simplicity for General Use~
============================================
If the sound dock can boast one thing it is ease of use this is because a technical moron could turn it on and have I working in under a minuet, there is no difficulty in the set up and no complicated wires to negotiate, with; this can be the case with other sound docks or speakers. All you have to do is chose the appropriate dock thing (sorry for the lack of specification but it is very obvious and there are only two to choose between two and they are clearly labelled so it is very easy (please just trust me)). The hole set up process took less than 5 minuets. During music playback you have to do nothing (except adjust the volume) which is great. On some speakers you have to adjust the Base and the Treble (on some more complicated systems the subwoofers and the tweakers etc …) on the Bose it is all done for you, admitably you cannot raise the base so much that the windows start to rattle but that kind of fun has a time limit and it is very short.
======================================~Quality Of Sound~
============================================
As you probably know Bose are already notorious for their superior sound quality and their extremely high standards; and the sound dock is no exception, even though it is a relatively small system it can fill a room even when it is only at half volume and it is the perfect thing to use for a shop or even at the gym. At full volume the thing is absolutely deafening and in general you cannot stay in the same room, and it will easily fill your whole house with music. The great thing about the Bose Sound dock is that even when it is at its highest volumes there is never any noticeable change in sound quality which is uncommon with most other speakers, and it is certainly better than any of the other sound dock systems that are on the market.
============================================
The remote
============================================
This is a kind of random point, and it is that the remote whilst brilliant in design and light weight, it is only about the seize of a credit card which is great because that is what you want in a remote. The problem with it is that it is remarkably easy to lose and if you do lose it, Bose do not do a replacement (although if I am wrong please feel free to correct me and possibly tell me were I can get one because I have lost mine!) which means that you have to get up and change it manually which is really annoying after a while.
======================================Compatibility
============================================
This is a bit of a problem, by this I mean there is really only one use for it ( as a sound dock for your 20gig, 30 gig etc ipod.) that is fine but, I can't help but think how nice it would be if I could plug my sound dock into my computer and that if I had bought I a different set of speakers, PC speakers for example it would have been cheaper and could have enjoyed them whilst I watching a DVD or when I was gaming (admitably I don't do that very often). Considering the amount of money the sound dock cost you really should be able to plug it into another devise other than an ipod, but as far as I am aware there is no way to plug it into a PC etc and it put me of it (the sound dock) for a considerable amount of time, and should be an area of considerable thought before buying the actual product.
======================================
Advice/ Conclusion
============================================
The sound dock is an impressive piece of kit and it seriously worth having especially is you own a shop/ café/ gym/ or another type of small business and you cannot afford/ just don't want to buy a bigger and much more expensive sound system that Bose and some other companies specialise in, but you still want to provide music for your customers without having to spend a fortune, then a sound dock is a seriously good buy. If you feel that you don't use your ipod enough, then the sound dock is a great idea you can put it in the lounge or in the dining room and use it whilst reading and it is great for parties. I have found it to be an immense buy.

Advantages: Good Sound, Charges Ipod
Disadvantages: Mains Only, No computer connection No aux input
The Bose SoundDock is a smart, stylish sound system for your ipod.
The look of this piece of kit is smart, It looks very stylish. Available in white or black. The Design is arched which allows for the sound to be angled when in use. The back is pretty plain and houses most of the components. Bang centre on the front you will see the docking area fro your beloved ipod. This unit has a larger footprint than its competitors 6.65" H x 11.91 W x 6.48" ... ...supplied was multi voltage.
Bose claim there product is compatible with all dock connector ipods. The adaptors supplied cover the ipod video and mini and other ipods. The Nano insert was not included with mine but Bose sent me one directly. However I don't use it. We own two ipods a 60 GB Video and a 2 GB nano I use the adaptor that fit the 60 GB video player as I find the nano sits happily on the dock connector without any further support.

A must for all iPod users

Advantages: Super sound quality, Portable, Charges IPod
Disadvantages: Remote is easy to lose, Quite expensive
...wonderful sound docks from Bose. Bose are well know for the quality of there sound systems. The sound they produce is just simply amazing. You hear and feel deeper depths to the songs you already know and you fall in love with the tracks all over again. This being said i did my research and found i wanted this one. Picked it up for £279 with 2 years free guarantee from my local John Lewis. Which for me is a bit pricey, and there are cheaper ones ... ...CD or other MP3 players using AUX output.
The Bose SoundDock is situable for all classic ipods, new nanos, ipod touch and the iphone. This SoundDock is a must for any one who lives and die with their ipods. I recommend it highly.

Bose SoundDock Digital Music System Review
Review of Bose SoundDock Digital Music System by

Advantages: Superb Sound, Very Loud, Ideal for Ipods
Disadvantages: not go to travel with, Extremely Expensive
...size. As with almost all Bose speakers the quality is amazing, so long as the source you are playing it from is high quality it will allow the speakers to each its potential.
I have a surround sound Bose set up in one of my rooms but now prefer to use this product as it is very simple to operate. Just plug the mp3 player in and press play and your set. Can't get much simpler. It also runs off a wall socket and depending on the country of purchase ... ...are often purchased for travel use, and although it is a small unit, it is still not that small enough to be ideal to travel with. It also should be run of a wall socket thus use of batteries clearly isn't a great option.
Another major factor is its price. Of course you are getting high quality and warranties by paying the high price but it is expensive. Although it can fit other mp3 players its main focus is on ipods, so please buyers, make sure ...

A must have for all serious IPOD owners.
Review of Bose SoundDock Digital Music System by
superpalmer
Advantages: Superior sound quality. Credit card remote
Disadvantages: Expensive, Mains only, Some design flaws.
...Power: As a rule Bose do not tell! - exceeds 15 W RMS easily (ie will burst ear drums in a small-medium living room)...
General
A relatively large and heavy speaker. Why? Because like Apple (NB IPOD 60GB video) BOSE tend not to do things by half and the size and weight are needed to produce some of the loudest and clearest sounds possible. Dock your IPOD in the SoundDock and it charges too. However, compared to its rivals this speaker system is ... ...it is standard with most BOSE speakers, the principal focus and main marketing point. Should it be? Why YES, for its size this system quite simply is the best money can buy. It is loud, very loud. I have had mine up to full volume with deep bass music and at no point was there any distortion....the down side was i got a fuzzy ringing for an hour after in my ears - but what a pleasurable way to go deaf! Now it is not all good news, for those who love ...

The sound of a revolution
Review of Bose SoundDock Digital Music System by
cocoklo
Advantages: Great sound, sturdy, easy to use
Disadvantages: Only runs off mains power
...my iPod yet.
The Bose sound-dock is a piece of mastery in the area of audio technology. Beautiful, sleek and streamlined; it's large frontal speaker provides both volume and sound quality. The music I play on the sound-dock sounds almost incomparably better than CDs played on a CD player. It is almost unbeleivably easy to use. From opening the box to playing my favourite tracks took a grand total of about 30 seconds. It's as simple as; put the correct ... ...fault, my one gripe with BOSE is that you can't buy these remotes on their own. So, for the foreseeable future, I'm reduced to getting up off my couch when I want to skip a track or alter the volume!! (oh the horror!!)
The third issue (and probably the most annoying for me), is that it can't run off battery power. While carrying it long distances for short periods of music listening is pretty unfeasable due to it's size and weight; it would be quite ...
