I purchased the Bose SoundDock a few years ago to take my Ipod classic, it does however take all types of ipod. I think the quality of the sound is excellent & the speaker is so easy to use. After I had purchased the speaker system they brought out a battery one, this would have been even more value for money in my opinion as it would be easier to transport to the garden etc. The only buttons on the system are the volume + & - , I think this is adequate as the treble/bass etc can be controlled via the ipod itself. I don't very often use the remote but this is small & compact. I have had many great parties using this speaker & totally recommend it. In future I will always buy Bose.
