They also are good in helping other people not able to listen to what i am listening to so they are not noisy to others close by. This is due to the pads and this is good because it helps me listen to my music wherever i want.

Having appreciated all the benefits of the Wave, it seemed miserly to scrimp on the headphones when I wanted to listen in privacy. They do cut out extraneous external noise so all you hear is what you are trying to listen to. This is true when listening via an MP3 player, a normal hi-fi, a TV or the Wave system itself. I have had these earphones for some time now and if i had to some them up in a word it would be superb! I often take them on public transport and the difference from normal earphones is amazing. They really do block all sound (whe you have your music on) and even if you don't have them plugged into a mp3 or cd player they still dull the ambient noise to a level at which you can sleep. So therefore they also make a great pair of ear plugs albeit rather ... ...large and they are rather bulky, however i rarely go anywhere without a rucksack and they easily fit into that and personally i think that for anything more than an hour they are worth having. You do have to put a battery in them but i think in several years i have only had to replace this battery twice, so that doesn't really pose a problem. One downside i feel is the cost. Luckily they were a gift, but if i had to purchase them myself i would think ...

I have been used to the standard ipod headphones or sony in ear headphones for around 20 dreaming of the day i would be able to afford the sound isolating over earBOSE headphones. and then my birthday my girlfriend gives me these! The bose triport headphones are one of the best headphones that money can buy. Especially the combination of ipod and bose headphones is a unforgettable experiance for any music lover. The all round ear cushions sit comfortably for hours around your ear and you are transported to a new world. The sound quality is exceptional and rivals the larger home theatre systems. The bass reproduction is the best in its class. The only downside of this master piece is the head band. The headband breaks during handling and you have to be careful when packing it in bags. I have owned these for 3 years now and had to replace the head band thrice. Bose has a efficient after sales service. They replaced the head band free of charge every time.
