Advantages: Accurate tuning easy to use Disadvantages: Difficult to see the readout in sunlight
Every guitarist and bass player should have a tuner and the TU-2 is the best i have owned!
A compact pedal that is powered by a 9 volt AC power adaptor or 9 volt battery, it has one instument input and two outputs, output and bypass. When using the output the signal is cut when the pedal is on enabling the user to tune in silence. When using the bypass output the signal is not cut so you can hear the note you are tuning. I use the silent tuning option.
with several modes you can adjust how you tune your instument:- chromatic (E A D G B E), Guitar (strings 1 2 3 4 5 6), flat, double flat, Bass.
It has an led read out for the string you are tuning and whether it is sharp or flat.
A a semi proffessional guitarist i have owned mine for about 2 years and have found it to be invaluable. It is gigged every week and is constantly used ...

Advantages: Good solid Octave tone, really fattens up the guitar lines Disadvantages: However there are problems with tracking, and it worbels when trying to find the correct pitch
ADDED :::::::::::

This is a small compact stomp pedal, designed the same way all the other boss compact pedals are...a small rectangle shape which is oddly coloured a weird looking brown, but then again you arent really paying for the colour are you ? Its not that bad anyhow ! The sound is what counts !

What this pedal does.....

Advantages: Good quality pedal with great sounds Disadvantages: Quite expensive
is made of metal and therefore is very robust. I was worried about the knobs because they stick out a little but I haven't had a problem with that at all yet!
Connectivity:
This unit has a standard guitar jack input and output.
Additional Comments:
As with any effect you should check that it is compatible with your amp. By this I mean you should check if it sounds good with your amp, not the one they let you test with at the shop. My amplifier has a "valve emulator" in it which I can't find a way to turn off. For this reason the Boss pedal doesn't sound good at all with my amp so I rarely use it.
Conclusion:
A very good quality pedal, with good design and sound. The unit is quite expensive but it's worth it for what you get. It is also very versatile as mentioned above ...
