Advantages: the sounds are high qulity Disadvantages: none
...i brought a korg x5dr 5 years ago second hand and i have found it to be very useful. the Korg x5dr is a sound module for a keyboard, it contains all of the sounds a patchs of the korgx5dr keyboard. he compactness of this module makes it so useful. it is a very powerful devises and great to use on stage or at home. there are more modern modules but if you are looking for a bit of a bargin but want to get an item of good qulity go for this item !. it has never let me down and it has been thrown around quite a lot. korg have always had a good reputation and there products even if they are old tend to be still very good and reliable. another product that i would sergest is the korg triton le it is a fantastic keyboard and the proce has droped quite a lot since its was first relised....

Advantages: So small and cheep Disadvantages: This is not a replacement for full blown rack effects
...First off this is in the wrong catergory, it is a multi effects processor not a single. The Zoom is one of the best value for money effects you will find on the market, mine cost less than £70 for the unit and the mains power supply! Compare that with a Boss single effects pedal at £70 each.
The Zoom has 9 different effects 7 of which can be selected at once. There are over thirty memory patches where you can configure your effects using up to 7 in one patch and with the unit sat on the floor its just a toe tap to change. It should be noted that this is a £70 effects processor and compared th the Boss pedals at £70 each it is noisy. Home use and small gigs is what this seems best at, anything larger and it becomes noisey. Also the sounds you can produce are limited and not as configurable as other effects proccessors but for a beginer...

If i was in the market for a second hand drum machine i would spend a little bit more and go for the far superior BossDR660 which features far better editing, sounds and effects....
