Boundless VT 510 - 14" CRT

Advantages: Very high quality, no flickering
Disadvantages: very bright

...I have been using this monitor for about six months now. I am impressed with the small space it takes up on my desk which allows more room for writing paper and journals for my research. A normal CRT monitor would normally give me headaches but this tft monitor has not even got close yet. It runs at 1024 by 768 pixels. I would have bought this a long time ago if I had known the quality of these monitors. I have found that the colours displayed on this screen are accurate enough for me to be able to play dvds better than on the crt I had previously. Since I bought this monitor I have found that I have a saving of money on the electricity bill. (This may have been due to the inefficiency of my crt monitor).... Read review

...'s, the performance aspect is actually quite competitive. It is a good monitor and looks like it will last a fair while yet! When playing games, this monitor neither excels nor lacks. ---- WEIGHT It weighs about 15 kilos (14.8 to be exact).This is quite heavy! This, factored in with the size is quite bad. But, it is a CRT, so what can you do? ---- SETTING UP THE MONITOR This is easy to set up. The instruction manual is easy to follow and gives no immediate problems. ---- FUNCTION BUTTONS The monitor has a button for power and a menu button. In this menu, you can change the language of the menu or change the screen details, such as colour, brightness and colour. .... The monitor actually came with a floppy disk containing the drivers but I've not had a floppy drive on my computer for a few years now. I don't believe the monitor includes Macintosh drivers however. I kept the quick installation guide for the monitor but I haven't kept much else, the guide seems of a good standard and offers driver installation instructions and diagrams for both Macintosh and PC installation. The guide is presented in around 14 different languages. After reading the guide I can vaguely remember when I installed the monitor, the stand wasn't pre-attached to the monitor and had to be done manually although I cannot recall any problems achieving this.
