of a double-ended mascara (white base + coloured coat) in just one step! Its 2 in 1 formula combines a lengthening base and a volumising coat while its nylon micro-fibres act like lash extensions, to thicken the fringe of lashes. Additionally, flexible multi-zone brush simultaneously builds length and volume, thanks to its narrowed rows of supple bristles and micro-reservoirs. Result: Minimum effort for maximum effect
Advantages: Its versatile and it lasts a long time Disadvantages: Some might find it too expensive

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, THE best mascara on the market right now. Its been around for about three years, and Ive tried pretty much every mascara going, and I can safely say that it doesnt get any better than this!
It costs around £9 and is available from Boots, Superdrug, some chemists and many online retaillers. The mascara comes in a double ended black and white tube. The side is white and the other is black. The white end contains a white thick cream that you brush onto lashes to build length and volume. The cream contains tiny little fibres that attach themselves to your eyelashes and lengthen them. Once you've made your lashes as thick and long as you like, you start to apply the mascara from the other side of the tube. The mascara comes in brown, blue and black. You can add several layers of this mascara and it is reluctant to become clumpy on your lashes as the big round brush allows the mascara to coat every lash evenly and quickly. The brish has a tapered end you that you can get right into the inner corners of your eyes with easy.
I often use the mascara without using the white section, especially for day wear, as it adds length and volume subtly and makes you look wide awake and alert. The white cream is great for a dramatic night time look or if your eyelashes are very short or very fine.
£9 might seem expensive to some, but Ive tested mascaras rhat have been cheaper than this, such as Rimmel, mascaras that are the same price, such as Lash Architect by L'oreal, and mascaras that are much more expensive - such as Falsh Lash mascara by YLS which set me backa hefty £17. None of the other mascaras Ive used have come close to the quality of this. It stays fresh in the tube longer than other amscaras too. Mascara only has a short shelf life (about 2 months) before it begins to go dry and clumpy in the tube, Coup De Theatre will last right until the tube is empty without clumping at all.
The mascara comes off easily with any makeup remover or just water if you have very sensitive skin. I am not sure if the product is suitable for contact lens wearers but I would think that it is because it has a waxy texture rather than drying completely solid on your lashes, so it doesnt flake. It has a pleasant yet slightly chemical smell to it, which does not affect my opinion of the product either way.
Over two years Ive used three tubes of this mascara, so despite that fact that the barrel containing the mascara is smaller than standard ones, it still lasts better than other mascaras. Id recommend this product to everybody as its very versatile and can do different things depending on how you use the rush. Its great to experiment with and is a good investment for your lashes!
Advantages: Good lengthening, long lasting Disadvantages: Can clump, a tad expensive
...have a soft spot for Bourjois (the make-up, not the social class!), and although a tad pricier than some brands, this is a brand I like to buy when I want spoiling a bit! I was intregued by the idea of this mascara, which has two bottles- a white base coat and a coloured top coat, conveniently in one wand.
Looking at the packaging now, it does remind me of a magicians wand- the base coat end is coloured white, and the coloured end & mid section ... ...The wand is long, which may make you think you are getting a lot of product, but remember, there are two mascaras here (both 6ml). Then again, as you are not supposed to keep mascara very long, this probably isn't a bad thing! Does anyone actually use up a tube of mascara in the recomended few months? Anyway, enough of the packaging, is it any good?

...that coaxed me into buying Bourjois Coup de Théâtre (pronounced: "Koo de Te-atre") mascara when I couldn't decide between the seemingly hundreds of brands available these days. That and the shape of the tube. My previous mascara was on it's way out, so I was in desperate need of a new one.
The next day I decided to try out my new mascara. Before I give my opinion, let me tell you a bit about it.
~ The Brand ~
Bourjois Paris is a well-known make-up ... ...gentleman named Monsieur Alexandre Napolean Bourjois decided to help, and set about creating a new, high-quality theatre make-up for them. In doing this, he created the very first powder blush - in the world - called Pastel Joues. Roughly translated, this means "play pastel" - very apt!
This was an instant success, and it wasn't long before women all over France were using it! The small round pots that contain blush, eyeshadow, face powder... etc. ...

Boucoup de curls.....!
I bought this mascara not so long ago from boots as a birthday present for the first time of which i was really happy as i had always wanted it! I could not buy this mascara any other time as it was too expensive for me so when buying it for the first time you can imagine how happy i was with my new expesive mascara - but does it live up to its' expectations?

This mascara is contained within a ... ...on one side and a thickening brush for the colour on the other, which together results in eyelashes which are lengthened, thickened, and curled, quickly and easily.
One end of the mascara is white with the words, ' I lengthen my lashes to infinity ' and the other end black of which that says, ' I dress my lashes divinely. '
**Once I have bought the mascara how do I use it?**
The main point of this mascara is to lengthen, thicken and curl your ...

...product I am scrutinizing is Bourjois Coup de Théatre Mascara, which is a double-ended tube of mascara, promising the following (from sephora.com):
"Coupe de Theatre is a unique, extra lengthening and ultra-thickening dual-ended mascara. One end contains a unique cero-fibrillar complex consisting of wax, nylon fibers and silica fibers that thicken and lengthen lashes, and the other end contains a pro-vitamin B5 enriched, highly pigmented, mascara ... ...It is available in 5 shades, the one I purchased being 'Noir Diva', with the 'cero-fibrillar complex' always being white :) ***Packaging and presentation***
The double-ended mascara is sold in a long tube (about 6inches long!) with one end being a pinkish shiny white, and the other end in the colour of the mascara (i.e. black) in an elongated hour-glass shape. The brush for the white glop has very short bristles, and the brush for the actual mascara ...

Advantages: Good packaging, makes lashes look good Disadvantages: Takes a bit longer to apply
This is my first review for a while and to be honest I feel a little out of touch! Oh well I’ll give it my best shot! I am constantly on the lookout for a decent mascara and after having bought various expensive ones that completely failed to deliver I decided to give this one a go. I was in Boots anyway and this particular product caught my attention. For anyone that has seen this you will know that in terms of packaging it stands out slightly………

On the black side is written ‘Act two – I dress my lashes divinely’. So what ...

--Longevity--
Not great, even with a primer. Just really very average.
--Value for money--
It's fine for what you get, and one pot certainly lasts a long time, but I wouldn't want to pay any more than the RRP for it.

** THE DETAILS **
Double extension mascara is ophthalmologically tested for safety (in other words it is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers, as well as being fragrance free). It does not say whether it is waterproof on the packaging, so I presume it is not. For soft and gentle cleaning, use L?Oreal Plentitude Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. For further information, see: www.lorealparis.com
** VALUE FOR MONEY **
I bought this for £6.99 from Superdrug. Compared to two similar products on the market, this is amazing value (at least £1.50 cheaper):
£8.49 ? Revlon Lash Fantasy Mascara
£8.95 ? BourjoisCoupdeTheatreMascara
** MY VERDICT **
My eyelashes do definitely look longer than with my normal one-step mascara. I cannot ...
Advantages: a man magnet, suitable for most occasions, nice packaging Disadvantages: a bit pricey so nice as a gift
I got this for christmas along with my BourjoisCoupdeTheatreMascara , which I?ve also reviewed it was a very girlie christmas!!
I?d first come across this in a magazine, you know where you lift the flap the page out rub it on your wrist and normally get a paper cut from the page and then proceed to rub perfume into it and it kills? It was a really musky sent, if this makes sense it smells warm, like I think mens aftershave always smell really warm. I'd say it was more of a night perfume, not a summers day in floaty dresses, just picture the advert with the girl in a black suit with heels but not too made up and girlie hair that is exactly the type of image I think the smell conjures up. It sounds strange but I feel quite confident when I wear it!!! So it immediately went onto my christmas list! Because of this I?m not too ...
