Bourjois Pump Up The Volume Waterproof Mascara

I have owned many different makes and types of mascara. Until now I haven’t managed to find one that is waterproof that doesn’t make your eyelashes feel heavy, or make them look tacky. I spent over £30 in boots recently and I received a £5 money off voucher for the make-up department so I decided to put it towards a new mascara. To be honest what drew my attention to the Bourjois pump up the volume mascara was the shape of the bottle. I thought it looked unusual and very stylish. It was a bit pricier than your average mascara costing £7.95 for 8ml, but I was willing to give it a try seeing as though I got a fiver off anyway.

The box boasted of volumising micro beads and water resistant carnauba wax. It also stated that it can last through extreme conditions, perfect seeing as though the weather keeps changing from sweltering sticky weather to rain and gusty winds the next. I opted for the traditional black colour but the also had the following in stock:

• Brun Starlette (this is a brown)
• Bleu croisette (this is blue)
• Violet m’as-tu vu (surprisingly this is violet)
• Noir glamour (black)

Bourjois being a French make they put the colour lables in French but there is a little dot on the box to show you what colour is what. The brush was very well tailored it was made of nylon and it kept all of my lashes separate instead of sticking them together like some brands do. It made them feel light as they would do without mascara. The brush glides through easily and sometimes you can feel a slight tension with other makes.

If you sometimes manage to smudge your mascara you can wipe it off easily without ruining all the hard work you have just put in. I use a Johnson baby wipe as this removes it quickly and without residue. Im sure you can use other things its just this was the first thing to hand so I have used them since.

You only need to apply one stroke to the eyelashes to give yourself a sexy daytime ‘light’ look. For a more voluptuous look use it twice. It doesn’t clog your lashes and makes them look fuller. The next stage was to make sure the rain water didn’t cling to them in the rain. It didn’t, the mascara didn’t smudge streak or anything. A truly amazing mascara!
