Bourjois Volume Glamour Mascara Ultra Black

I am constantly on the look out for new mascaras that do what it says on the tube, so when I saw this new mascara from Bourjois (considering they're not cheap and are a big name in cosmetics) I thought 'This should do the trick!' I love to have long volumey black eyelashes that don't take thousands of coats to achieve. So with it being called 'VOLUME glamour - Ultra Black' I expected this to be the bee's knees. So I buy it and off I go.
So its now time to try this new fancy mascara out. Its quite a big tube with a flat circular bottom so I can stand it up, its tapered so its thicker at the top, so aesthetically it's really nice, with its silver letters on a black background.
So I pull the brush out and its a nice thick, long applicator which is usually a good thing. But when it comes to actually putting it on its a huge disappontment. The brush is soft so it glides easily along the lashes, but it doesn't put much on, so the 'one coat' application is now out of the window. My eyelashes look barely different, but they do look darker.
The second coat is more noticable, but definately leaves a lot to be desired in comparison to the description. It seperates the lashes and has made them look a tiny bit longer. So on the third coat, they're a little bit longer, they do look seperated and they're definately black. But definately not what I expected. With it being called Volume Glamour I expected gorgeous long and thick eyelashes that are infact glamourous!

On the up side, this mascara would be good for the more natural ladies who like a quick seperating of the lashes and some colour.
