We had had our old ironing board for years and years and it was past its best so we decided to invest in a new one. We bought this from Asda as it was on offer and reduced to £10 in their sale. We were not very keen on the black and white design but it was cheap so we bought it.
It is extra wide so you can get a lot of the bedding on at once without having to constantly turn stuff over the board as you progress through the bedding so we thought this was a good idea, as our last one was not very wide at all. It is also height adjustable and it is suitable for people of all heights as it will go right up or down, depending on how tall you are.
It is lightweight but rocks a lot and the legs do not seem very steady at all. We iron upstairs on a laminate floor and when you are downstairs, all you can hear is the person upstairs rocking the ironing board backwards and forwards against the laminate floor.
Also, because it is so lightweight it actually falls in on itself if you are ironing heavy cottons such as jeans and you feel the need to press down hard with the iron to get the creases out. This has happend to us twice now and it is really dangerous as the whole thing just collapses. After the second thime this happened we returned it to the shop and got a refund.
The design is also slightly nauseous after you have looked at it for too long.
Not a great board and we cannot recommend it at all.
