Advantages Keeps you occupied for a little while

Disadvantages Not my kind of puzzle game

This is the follow on to Dr. Kawashima Brain Training for you ds or dsi. I remember when the original came out we were all going to be so much brighter so much smarter our brains would be so much better. When this one was released I think we were all over it. It can be purchased now for around £11 but shop around online and you may get a bargain.

The game itself starts by asking you to fill in your details before checking your Brain Age by taking you through a series of questions in the style of mini games, it then remembers how old your brain is to check you again on another day. The lowest brain age you can acheive is 20 so this game is aimed at adults teenagers would be able to play it they would just be unfairly judged in the Brain Age department from the start. Also your brain cannot be older than 80 and you never know they may be some 80 plus people out there who want to play.

You then go through a series of 'brain games' to encourage your brain to be more responsive which in turn should make it younger according the game. You can play in quick play game where you can practive the mini games before moving onto daily training where you will do your daily exercise you need to get your brain in tip top condition. You can also play Sudoku there are 100 puzzles here to keep you busy.

Some of the games include:

'Memory Sprint' Where you have to focus on one sprinter who will run past others and others will run past him. At the end you have to say which place your sprinter came. This one I find easier to do if I am not focusing on it's strange the second I try to concentrate I mess up, this maybe just me though.

'Masterpiece recital' Here you have to play the music on the piano its quite addictive I feel I have achieved something when I get this one right.

There is also a game where the time spins round on a clock and you have to put how much time has past.

The faster you can complete these games correctly the better your brain is apparently coming.

For me I found that this game got me too stressed to to be able to fully enjoy it. Maths and calculations are not my strong point and so the calculations I found hard and as a result did not play this game for long.

I will give it 3 stars I actually think for people who are good at calculations and enjoy this style of puzzle game it would be a good one to own but for me I prefer the more Professor Layton logic puzzle style game so I will stick to that one.
