Advantages: Good quality at a reasonable price Disadvantages: Not a top name
Looking for an extra TV for the bedroom? Well, if you want a low cost 14” set that comes complete with a built in video then why not consider the latest offering from LG? The LG KE-14U73 is a TV / VCR combination that must be the amongst the best value combis around. At a price of little more than £130 you would have every right to expect a poor picture and tinny sound, however, the LG surprises and delights.
Although not a flat screen the picture is good quality and certainly as good as some of the more pricey models. The TV is easy to set up, the on-screen menus are clear and easy to follow and, if you use the auto tuning facility you can be up and running in around 2 minutes. The TV has a scart socket so if you have a DVD or a sky digi box you can connect it up.

Advantages: Great spec, good quality display, decent DVD playback Disadvantages: Not HD Ready
I bought this TV recently to go in to the bedroom, replacing our old portable that was showing its age. Setup was extremely straightforward - plug it in, attach an aerial and use the quick-start guide to auto-tune. DVD usage is similarly simple, with the disks slotted in rather neatly via the side-on cradle on the right. Playback was fine, although the neon-blue light of the DVD player when active might annoy those watching films in a darkened room.
Screen quality is excellent. A crisp, sharp display, with deep colours and its 19 -inch widescreen display is more than adequate for a portable TV.
Overall, this is an excellently-specced machine for the price. In addition to the scart socket on the back, there are also sockets ...
Advantages: fun idea, creative, girlie, cheap Disadvantages: hard to control

Though this month I had the sudden urge to buy a Wii, and so I did! It was the most peculiar thing - I didn't even give it a second thought! And I must admit, I am thrilled with this purchase. I've also bought a few games for it too, one of which being Bratz The Movie.
Bratz essentially is aimed at little girls around the ages of 8-13. They took Britain by storm a few years back with their over sized eyes and tiny waists that would give our beloved Barbie a run for her money. I had completed the Bratz Rock Angels playstation game a few years back, and had thoroughly enjoyed it. So I had decided to buy the Wii game too! There are a few Bratz Wii games ...
