The Braun Epilator has two power speeds 1 for reduced speed and 1 for normal speed.
Give you skin a rub over just to lift up any short hairs that you may have.
Then holding the Epilator at a 90 degree angle glide over the skin, some of your hairs do not all grow in the same direction so it’s best to glide it over your skin in all directions to make sure that you get all of the hair.
I must admit when it comes to shaving I’m always on the look out for new products which makes life easier and something that lasts longer then just shaving alone. I’ve tried all sorts, waxing which I am really not keen on much to painful for my liking, all sorts of different razors and creams and gels, which until now had the best results, but not anymore I have found one that goes that one step further.

First of all make sure that your skin is completely dry and that it hasn’t got any grease or oil on it as it won’t be able to remove the hairs. The recommended length of hair is between 2 - 5mm of optimal usage. The Braun Epilator has two power speeds 1 for reduced speed and 1 for normal speed.

Then holding the Epilator at a 90 degree angle glide over the skin, some of your hairs do not all grow in the same direction so it’s best to glide it over your skin in all directions to make sure that you get all of the hair.
This Epilator comes with two separate attachments. The first one has massaging rollers on it, this stimulates the skin and then relaxes it which in turn reduces the pulling sensation the you would other wise feel. This one is also advised to be used when you first start using the appliance.
The second one is for maximum contact as it doesn’t have the rollers on it and removes even more hairs per stroke that is made but is slightly more painful.
When you use this product behind the knee make sure that your leg is stretched out fully to get the maximum effect. They do suggest that if it is your first time of using the product do it at night, just incase your skin goes a bit red, this will give you time for the redness to go. They also suggest that after use to apply a moisturiser, this to to relax the skin.
This product can also be used for under arms and the bikini line, I have used it for the under arm which is not to bad just make sure it is clean from deodorants etc. As for bikini line I haven’t done that yet as it is more sensitive and will be more painfully and I don’t like pain so I have given that bit a miss.
~ Precautions ~
This is not an in shower appliance so it must be kept dry at all times. Some times when you epilate it can lead to in growing hairs, I have had a few but nothing to right home about, they do come through eventually. If you do get in growing hairs it is best to exfoliate, this will remove the dead skin and allow the hair to grow through. It can cause a rash if you use the epilator and you have not cleaned it after last use, so make sure it’s cleaned after every time it’s used.
~ Cleaning ~
Cleaning the Epilator is very easy; it comes with its own little brush. Clean every attachment you have used and then with the small brush clean all around the tweezers. Then remove the head itself by pressing the release buttons on either side and just give it a brush down, then just but it all back together and place it safely away in the little bag that comes with the appliance.
~ Packaging ~
Mine came in a pink box with a picture of the Epilator on the front. Inside you get the Epilator itself which is pink and white, it has Braun Silk-epil soft perfection written on the front in dark pink letters, it has the 2 speed switch which is also in dark pink in the middle on the front of the appliance. Then on the top you have cylinder spade which has lots of tweezers in it all the way around, then you have the two different attachments that just clip onto the head. The roller one is white but the rollers are pink and the other attachment is pink. There are two white buttons on either side of the appliance these you just squeeze in together at the same time and it release the head so you can clean it. To put back together it just clips back in place.
It comes with a 12 V transformers plug and the lead is just over 2 meters long, it also comes with its own little cleaning brush and a little white waterproof bag to store it in, and a full instruction booklet which covers 24 languages. This covers all the instruction and maintenance and precautions of the product.
~ What do I think to it ~
I have read lots of reviews on these sort of things and some say that they are very painful, but I have to disagree, it’s not painful as such more a little irritating on sensitive areas. But I find myself using the massage rollers as they really do help to reduce the irritability of it. Another thing about it is that you can use it when ever; you’re not tied to using say just in the shower like other products. And the more you use it the more you get used to it, less time wasted in the shower shaving, which doesn’t last that long either, and no more bristles, hair grows back a lot softer and a lot finer which in turn makes each time you use it easier and less irritable then before. Your legs are left hair free for a lot longer and it is a lot less messier then using removal creams. The removal of hair is of high quality, you don't have to keep going over the same area lots of times, as it quickly plugs the hairs out. So from now on I’m sticking to this, I like the feel of my skin after I have used it, I’m not putting any chemicals on my skin to dissolve hair and it is quick and very easy to use. I know people will have their own opinions on this but to be honest I was sick and tired of having prickly legs after a day or 2 after shaving, but now I don’t. So in that case I would recommend this product it’s not as painful as you may think, I was pleasantly surprised.
~ Price ~
I brought mine for about £25.00.
I hope I have covered everything, if I have missed anything please let me know, and i will add it to the review.
Advantages: Reasonably quick, clean, easy to use Disadvantages: Not painless, needs patience
For those unsure of what exactly an epilator is, it is an electronic shaving device that functions using an rotating barrel which is lined with tweezers that pinch closed around hairs and pluck them out as they rotate away from the skin. Epliators cannot be used in the shower, and can be used at any time, but are best used, in my experience, after showering, when your pores are open as this reduces the pain.
This epilator has two speeds and two ... ...massage and lessen the pain, but I found that the downside of this is that the head cannot get close enough to the skin to get the shorter hairs, so once you've overcome the pain enough, the normal head is best.
Although designed mainly for legs, the epilator can remove bikini line and arm hair. However, I did once try it on my armpit and the pain was unimaginable. So a downside to this product and to epilators in general is that they do not completely ...

Advantages: Handy to have, as it can never run out! Disadvantages: Pain factor at first
I've had this Braun epilator for a while now, so I decided to write a review on it.
I purchesed mine from Boots for £39.99, however it might have since gone down in price.
~~~What does it include?~~~
The Braun epilator comes in a silver mesh bag, which is handy to keep in or to take away. It also includes 2 removable heads one which is pink see-through and one with a thicker white/pinkish head. There are 2 as they are for different pain levels. ... ...painful, however the other head removes more hair in each stroke, so is quicker and easier to use.
It also includes a brush to remove the hair, as there's no need for anything else or to wash it as it's electrical.
There are 2 settings one slower, and a faster one.
~~~Is it easy to use?~~~
Yes, that's all you need is a mains operator, the epilator and off you go. You usually have to go over the same patches a few times to remove all the hairs. ...

...out from the root.
The Braun Epilator that I purchased was great it gives me soft silky skin for 2 weeks. If you read the literature is says hair free for up to 4 weeks and I have never been that lucky.
The Braun Epilator has two speeds and it runs off the mains with a 12 volt adapter and come in a great travel bag with a cleaning brush which is used to brush those hair that get caught in the epilator.
When I used the epilator for the first time ... ...getting those hairs so i recommend you epilate regularly.
I recommend the Braun epilator and after using it you will wondering what took you so long to try it especially as I paid £25 for this epilator and when you weigh this to the price of waxing it's a bargain. ...

Advantages: Smooth legs! Minimal discomfort. Disadvantages: Takes ages the first time you use it.
I finally took the plunge and bought my epilator for under £20 when it was on offer. After a long, warm shower I plucked up my courage and got it out of the box. The noise was a surprise and having tried and failed to let my beloved practice on his legs first, I tried it.
I have thick, coarse hair on my legs (it's disgusting) and I was expecting a lot of discomfort ripping out my thick black hairs, but I was stunned to discover that it was almost ... ...low speed at first and just ran it slowly up my legs. Although I had shaved my legs two days previously there was enough growth for the epilator to work. The hairs were around 2mm long above the skin, but around 6-8mm long when ripped out. I must have thick skin to hide all that growth!
I spent around 20 minutes the first time I used it and finished with some moisturiser. A little redness soon disappeared.
The next morning I exfoliated in the shower ...

Advantages: Hair removal that lasts for weeks Disadvantages: Not for people with a low pain threshold
I have been using this epilator for 3 months and I am very pleased with it. It is very easy to use but you need to be brave. I am used to waxing my legs and underarms and my hair folicles have become weak so I do not feel any pain when using this item. However, someone who has never waxed may find it very painful, especially in the more delicate areas!
You will feel a pulling sensation on the skin but if you pull the skin taught it reduces the pain. ... ...pack to numb the area and one of those models may be better for the beginner. There are two diffferent heads to use one which allows you to shave a larger area, only to be used once you are fully used to the device! The other head has pain reducing rollers which really do work and I use this one for underarms.
You need to clean the head with the cleaning brush when you have finished. The real advantage of this device is that it leaves you hair free ...
