I have always been an avid waxer and have used this method for the removal of all bodily unwanted hair. So, epilation HURTS, that has to be the first point. But it is effective. I started epilating about 3years ago when I moved into a flat share (7people, one bathroom), so spending time shaving my legs and what not in the shower with a cue of people waiting was just a no no. So, I tried out waxing and just ended up making a mess and not really getting rid of any hair. I was already bored to death of shaving. Waxing is not for me because you have to wait for the hair to be a certain length (too long!) before you can wax it. I had read about epilators, and they always sounded really painful... And seemed expensive for something you might not be able to bear to use... I happened to mention to someone that I was thinking about getting one, and it turned out they had one (a Remington) that they had never used because it hurt too much.
