...England), even having a "5 o’clock shadow" puts me in a bad mood. So rechargeable razors have been my “thing” for about the last 25 years. What I haven’t had up to now is the chance to write about one! My current one, which is a Braun mains/rechargeable appears to be as good a place to start. Firstly, I’ve always secretly admired Braun’s understated styling (quite often something to do with the Porsche Design Group), usually involving a satin silver finish somewhere in the proceedings. Secondly, a mains/rechargeable razor will work whilst plugged in or away from the mains. There is in fact a slight but nonetheless perceptible increase in power when working directly off the mains, but mostly I unplug it from the dressing table plug point and wander around upstairs doing other stuff at the same time – booting up Windows XP for example... ...The Braun 7680 Syncro System Logic Shaver features a host of advances in the world of shavers. It has the capability of being being fully charged in 60 minutes. 3 minute quick charge. A full charge of 50 minute will give you 2-3 weeks of cordless shaving. Uses Ni-Hydride batteries, and or AC with automatic worldwide voltage adjustment (100-240volts). Nobody likes a dirty shave and the charging cradle contains a special alcohol cartridge that continuously cleans the foil and blade to insure a safe cut. I really like it, its easy to use, a nice instruction manual comes with it and it does a nice clean shave. With the built in cleaning device its really good, and easy to operate with its charging functions.... Read review

...I liked the company so much that I bought the razor, the Braun Flex Integral 5010 that is. After some fifteen, or maybe more, years in daily use, my old Braun Synchron Plus was on the verge of expiring. The foil had a tiny split, which would only get worse and could possibly cut my face and I wasn’t prepared to pay over £10 for a replacement foil. So a trip to my favourite electrical super store saw me mulling over a huge selection of electric razors. It was no contest after such a sterling service from Braun, so it had to be something similar. My old model was no longer in production so it had to be something new and a bright yellow machine caught my eye. It wasn’t my first choice but that was the only Braun that they had that was within my price range. Presumably that model does come in different colours but none were... Read review
