This product is very cheap ranging from approx £30 - £35 depending where you purchase it. The first of its amazing features is that it is cordless. This to most ladies is a huge advantage as when we are rushing around franticly getting ready for a night on the tiles, as we are often found stuck in front of the mirror for hours not being able to move. Feel free to walk around straightening your hair whilst doing other things if your running very late you can even complete the task in the taxi on your way out. This really is its Unique Selling Point and mean's its suitable for the full time workers who love to go out in under 30mins of getting in from a hard day at work.
On to a another important feature its temperature. This product gets to its full temperature of 180oC in under 3mins. This temperature provides a nice warming temperature that doesn't feel like it will burn your hair or if you slip your head. Unlike other Straighteners this product provides a quick warm up which is created by following these simple steps: · Turn the gas on by flicking a switch allocated on the side of the product. (Check this by listening for the gas sound) · Pull the main button back on the front of the straighteners to ignite the gas. (This may need to be done a few times to make sure it caught the gas). · Simple look thought the steam holes to see the blue flames. · Wait for the ready light to turn off then it is ready to use. Another handy feature alone as people will mistake when the product is at its best. · Simply place a thin strand of hair in between the two ceramic plates (an advantage also because they do not make your hair greasy and will glide through your hair easier) and move the straighteners from root to tip in a smooth, slow action. WARNING: This product is steam so I recommend that it be not used everyday on your hair as it will eventually dry out your hair and begin to fall out. My Experience When using the product I have found it to be very easy to use and the cordless function is a huge advantage as I am guilty of leaving only a short amount of time to get ready before going out. I have however found two disadvantages. As I have very thick hair I found myself re-straightening the same section of hair more then once, this was rather time consuming and in the long run ruin my hair. The other disadvantage it tends to occasionally catch a strand of hair and gets caught in the steam holes, this can cause some minor discomfort however this only happens occasionally. I haven't used any other cordless straighteners so I cannot compare this to any other products. As it is powered by steam it can be taken anywhere, which is a rarity among straighteners. In cost it is cheaper then electrical straighteners and the re-fill gas cylinders can be brought from most beauty shops for around £5, which is a real bargain. I have owned this product for around a year and it has been very handy to have around, I even took it on holiday that was also very helpful. I have not experienced any problems with the product not working and I believe it still has a long life ahead.
Conclusion To conclude I have found this product a handy, cheap gadget that can easily fit into any fairly large handbag for instant use any time anywhere. I would recommend it to people with hair that is relatively thin and not dry or damaged. Thank You For Reading

Dimensions and ergonomics (Gnome philosophy):
Good: It fits fine in my hand and feels light. Not the smallest portable straighteners, fits okay in a medium sized handbag.
Not so good:
I’ve noticed that the on/off switch rubs and digs into the inside of my index finger when I’m using ... ...open the plates and my finger joints felt stiff after.

Tiny water reservoir was still half full by the time I’d finished, (my hair is thick, naturally curly and down to my armpits). It took less than 10 minutes to straighten the lot (and I’m naff with these things).

I bought these straightners a while ago thinking they would be great for doing my hair after having to wear a hat all day at work. While they did fit in my work bag they are a little big for your average handbag but they aren't too heavy which is good.
Anyway so there i was in the staff toilets expecting to reapear looking like a supermodel with my straight hair! but no my hair was still a mess, smelt a bit funny and i was now stressed from trying ... ...to heat up, then once they do you can smell a slight burning aroma and they certainly dont straighten hair! although i have found that the curved plates work wonders on my mates thin hair for creating flicks
The gas cartridges last a fair while and you can can buy them fairly cheaply if you look in the right places! (i dont reccomend boots as they are expensive)
Overall i guess i didnt expect much from these as i got them reduced in a sale for ...

I bought these straighteners when they first came out, thinking that they would be great for those days where you get caught in the rain.
i thought i would be able to pop into the toilets at work and come out looking spectacular. however, this was not the case. they took an eternity to heat up, then my hair was too thick for them. i would say that they are ideal for those with short or thin hair. you would be there all day trying to use them on ... ...pop them in your bag when you go on a night out and use them periodically when you go to the bathroom.
i use them for this all the time, never leave the house without them, but mind your hair needs to have been straightened previously with a more powerful straightener. ...

Well being a busy mum and not always having the time to wait around for a plug in straightner, i saw this and noticed it was cordless, so i purchashed one at the reasonable cost of £23.50. I took it home and read the instructions that i thought were easy to understand, switched them on and waited for the small led light to change which took around 5 mins and then started to straighten my hair. I have very think and long wavy hair and personally found ... ...the straightners through me hair it was ripping odd strands out although the lever was easy to release and held hair firmly in place and i spent a good half hour trying to straighten my hair (and to use the steam at the same time is tricky), in which i eventually gave up. I also found the gas didnt last for long although they arent too expensive . I would say that if you have fine hair and not particularly curly then you should be ok but for us with ...
