Advantages: The best electric shaver I have ever found

totally useless ? that was a waste of £70) but none of them, even the Braun, was very good. The most I have been able to expect was that I could get away with electric shaving two or three days a week, with a wet shave no less than every second day. Any less than that and I started to look like I had not shaved or had shaved with my eyes shut ? random hairs left behind, longer hairs not trimmed etc. (Another aside, but by the way ? Victor Kiam might have found the shaver so good he bought the company but I found it to be useless). Braun Shaver - 9595

Advantages: LCD Panel - Sonic Pulsing - fast clean option - lifts problem hairs
Disadvantages: cartridge is good for approx. 30 cleaning cycles - cutter and foil in one complete head

I was looking for a good shaver that does the job right, with a smooth and fast shave. After searching around for some time I found this excellent design product from Braun. This is without doubt the best Braun shaver to date. The combination of the new head, foil and cutter assembly has made this shaver the one to beat. I have used the Panasonic ES 8163 and in many ways this gives a very similar shave, but with the very real advantage of the Braun cleaning system - I'm lazy when it comes to cleaning shavers - it's a chore, but for around £3.50 per month in cartridges you get a consistently cleaned and dried shaver without any fuss, and it really feels new every time you use it in the morning.I've also used previous Braun's shavers and this is a major step forward on everything that's gone before. Braun with Brains

Advantages: Quiet, smooth and comfortable
Disadvantages: Costly as a one off purchase

One day soon, I will be in a position to write my autobiography, based on the Braun shavers that I have owned and used during my lifetime. I have kept them all, though I have discovered no reason for doing so and no useful purpose for them either.! - it is just a sad reflection on the hoarding tendencies of the Badger clan.! My last Braun - reviewed 18 months ago, decided to play a very nasty trick on me. The contraption it comes with, which cleans and recharges the shaver after each use, decided to malfunction.! I searched for a replacment cleaning unit and the cheapest in the UK costs £52. In the States I could get one for $29, but the cost of shipping, VAT, customs etc put me off.
