Advantages: Very portable can use it anywhere, tried and tested Disadvantages: Need to purchase refills
...offering the BraunSmoothstylerC31S for just £12.99 - the shelf edge label suggested this was 'half price' and I never can resist a bargain!
The box comes complete with the styler, cover, styling brush a small and a large gas refill and a small and large handle to suit the gas refills - which is pretty good value for money. This model also has a steam feature for more gentle styling and longer lasting styles.
You can use the styler with or without the brush attachment depending on how you prefer to style your hair and this model also has a handy 'energy level indicator' so that you can see when the gas canister is 50% and below. Oh how I wish I had an 'energy level indicator' for me!
There is a cover which fits over the wand which is stylishly designed so that it automatically switches off the gas if you have forgotten to do so - handy...

Advantages: cordless, long lasting, good quality, good results Disadvantages: water reservoir is a bit small
...Well, a few years ago, my friend kindly bought me the Braunc20s as a birthday gift. Since it's lasted me so well, I thought I'd better review it!
A few months ago, my sister moved away and wanted one of her own - I didn't know if it would still be available, but phew! it is - it's now called the Braunsmoothstyler - the same thing but probably slightly different looking, and possibly improved.
What you get
The instructions (description, instructions for inserting or changing the energy cell, filling the water reservoir for the steam function, switching it on and tips and instructions for styling and steaming). I like the fact that the instructions have diagrams with text underneath - it's easier to understand.
A brush attachment
The styler
A plastic cover that clips over the styler
2 energy cells (I'm glad they don't make...

Advantages: Creates fun looks quickly, heats up fast, cheap! Disadvantages: Doesn't really straighten your hair.
...This is something I bought last year, but up until last night I had never used it. I sort of forgot I had it, that’s something I quite regularly do!
I bought it last year from Argos in the sale, it cost me £10, instead of the normal £21.65 (I’ve just had a look on the website to see how much it is now). The device in question is approximately 25cms in length, and is 6cms wide in it’s widest part. It sort of starts off quite thin at the bottom and broadens out in the middle and then goes thin again towards the top. It looks a bit strange to tell you the truth, it looks a bit like a vibrator, but then again, that might just be my...

I have been using Braun gas powered styling wands for more years than I care to remember - having been born with straight hair (and having a mother who really wanted me to have curls) over the years I have spent time and money trying to introduce a... more
Hair free and not as painfull as led to believe.
After all these years I invested in an epilator. I always thought it would hurt as everyone I knew had said it was.
When I opened my product it looked scarey. I plugged it into the mains, it has a... more
I saw this shaver on special offer in my local Comet for only £133 (Argos were selling it at £250 so the saving was over £100!) so I decided to take the plunge and buy one after waiting so long.
Unpacking the shaver is an adventure in itself, as the... more
I was given this for Christmas and I hate it. It is the worst electric rasor I have ever used in my life.
It looks nice and I was quite pleased when I opened my present, however, after using it a few times, I've now had to admit to my girlfriend that... more
