The toothbrush is fully rechargeable so there is no need to keep buying batteries, which pleases me.
WHAT DO I GET? • 1 x Oral-B Sonic Vitality rechargeable toothbrush • 1 x Oral-B Sonic brushhead • 1 x Recharging stand
PRODUCT AND PACKAGING...
The toothbrush comes in one of those blister packs which require scissors for opening and once inside I find instructions, a toothbrush, a spare head and a stand on which to recharge the toothbrush.
The tooothbrush itself is quite sturdy to look at and to hold, and when I hold it the actual handle is easy to hold although it is almost straight up and down with very little fancy curvature. The main part of the toothbrush is blue, with the control bits being on a background of white. The name of the toothbrush is clearly written on the front of the toothbrush which makes it easy for me to buy replacement brusheads when i know which toothbrush I have.
On the brushead, the bristles are different lengths and the ones at the top are angled slightly, presumably to get into all of those hard to reach places.
The recharging stand is the usual kind of stand with a shavers plug on the end so that it can be plugged in the bathroom; unfortunately for me, our shavers socket is on the above mirror light and because the wire isn’t long enough I have to try a balancing act on the toothbrush holder- it may be easier if i took it to the other bathroom!
USING IT...
It’s quite simple to use once it’s charged (done by placing the toothbrush on the unit and plugging it in). The toothbrush takes 16 hours to fully charge and this will give 20 minutes of useage. This doesn’t seem alot but is in fact 10 teeth cleans at 2 minutes a shot. It can be kept standing on the unit because it is not possible to overcharge the toothbrush, although it is suggested that it is completely discharged every 6 months to keep the maximum capacity of the battery.
So to use it: • Put brushead onto the narrow metal pole, wet the head and apply toothpaste • Switch the toothbrush on using the small blue button on the front of the toothbrush • Move the brushead in a circular motion and allow the longer bristles to get between your teeth • After a few seconds guide the bristles to the next section • After 2 minutes the toothbrush will give a stutter and that means you have cleaned your teeth for the time recommended by dentists. • After use, rinse the brush head and handle seperately • Replace the brush head every three months
WARNINGS...
Gums may bleed for the first few days but don’t worry, although if they bleed for two weeks or more, you should consult your dentist.
WARRANTY...
The toothbrush has a 2 year unlimited warranty which makes me think this is made to last. The warranty doesn’t cover over use (how could that be established?) and it becomes void if repairs have already been carried out.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY...
The RRP is £29.99 but it is widely available online and in stores such as sainsburys for around £15, which when I consider the prices of some electric toothbrushes is good value.
VERDICT...
I have had this for a couple of months now and am very pleased with the toothbrush.
At first I found the juddering quite strange but I am now ell into the routine of the 2 minute teeth clean and the effects on my teeth are noticeable. Any small stains which i may have had close to my gums have disappeared and after cleaning my teeth, they really do feel and look clean. Clearly the different bristles are doing their job.
I didn’t suffer any gum bleeding and didn’t find the bristles harsh or uncomfortable when cleaning my teeth.
A reasonably priced and very effective electri toothbrush- I just wish my socket was lower down!
Advantages: Great cleaning effect. Disadvantages: Short cord.
This is a seriously good rechargeable battery toothbrush and I have used it for around a year (another half price bargain from Tesco - I must curb these urges).
It consists of the the main body containing an on/off button and the brush head simply clicks onto the top. The brush head itself is the traditional rectangular shape (not round) and is small enough to easily get round those awkward back teeth. Bristles are not hard or too soft meaning that ... ...Saying that, I'm sure this brush would help allieviate gum problems such as gingivitis with regular use due to it's deep cleaning effect. The bristles have a two tone colour that wear down with use, alerting you to when the head needs changing. Replacement heads can be purchased readily at most outlets and expect to pay around £8.99 for a pack of two.
The sonic action gives a vibration effect that thankfully does not filter down the handle so it's ...

...be easier, by using this Braun Vitality. I ha seen them in the shops a few weeks before and didn't know if electric was just a toothbrush with batteries, that did just the same thing, or if it really was a better toothbrush. My dentist showe me a demostration using a larger teeth moulde, and held the toothbrush up around the teeth, and I could see that the size and shape of the brissles, could get into the places where normal manual toothbrushes ... ...these toothbrushes, but the name Braun is popular and do deliver good products.
This is good for the whole family. You can keep it in the bathroom like I do, and everyone has their own brush which fits on the toothbrush. Each one has its own coloured end, so everyone knows which one belongs to who. Each brush that clips on lasts aroun 6 months, it is best to change them as much as your dentist says or on the box. I found that brushing with this ...

Advantages: Very cheap, rechargeable, charge last a long time Disadvantages: None
Braun Oral B Vitality Sonic rechargeable electric toothbrush.
A good toothbrush.
Previously had a Philips Sonicaire toothbrush that cost £75 and that was half price.
The Braun does a great job, not quite as good as the philips but at a tiny fraction of the price - absolutely fantastic.
All the family is going to start using it as the brush heads are cheap aswell.
After you have used a sonic toothbrush you wont go back to a normal toothbrush ... ...you do a smoothness test with your tongue after you have used it for 2 weeks, i was amazed.
Charge last a long time, so you dont need to keep it on the charging stand, you can tell when it needs charging - it starts to slow a little. an over night charge and you are off again for a week to two weeks. ...
