My first Braun PRO 2000 hairdryer was a Christmas present last year from my daughter as between us we had worn out our old one! The name suggested it would be as good as a professional hairdryer.
I have to say that for the first six months of its life it performed perfectly, was really powerful - and I could dry my whole head of hair in one go. Toria was using it too, and she has long hair as well, so it was getting a bit of a bashing.
In July it started to cut out - half way through drying - so if I left it too late getting ready I was going out with one side of my hair smooth and straight and the other, wavy - very classy!!
I looked and looked for the guarantee as I assumed it had a 12 month warranty, but as usual it had fallen into that black hole where all things you need go to hide.

Advantages: LCD Panel - Sonic Pulsing - fast clean option - lifts problem hairs Disadvantages: cartridge is good for approx. 30 cleaning cycles - cutter and foil in one complete head
I was looking for a good shaver that does the job right, with a smooth and fast shave. After searching around for some time I found this excellent design product from Braun. This is without doubt the best Braun shaver to date. The combination of the new head, foil and cutter assembly has made this shaver the one to beat.
I have used the Panasonic ES 8163 and in many ways this gives a very similar shave, but with the very real advantage of the Braun cleaning system - I'm lazy when it comes to cleaning shavers - it's a chore, but for around £3.50 per month in cartridges you get a consistently cleaned and dried shaver without any fuss, and it really feels new every time you use it in the morning.I've also used previous Braun's shavers and this is a major step forward on everything that's gone before.
It has a new revolutionary motor ...
Advantages: Lots of accessories, good instructions, excellent range of features Disadvantages: none specific to the product itself, several to the process of epilating
I bought this product to replace an older version from a different manufacturer that I have had for about five years. I moved from North America to the UK and my old epilator wasn't dual voltage, so buying a new one was easier than the variety of adaptors and step down devices I would have had to find to keep using the old one.
Because I've been epilating so long, its hard for me to comment on the pain level of the Braun vs any other epilator as I really don't get much pain from the process anymore. At first it does hurt when you use it, but in my experience your skin gets accustomed, your hair roots get weaker, and the whole process gets quicker and easier. Quite a few of my hairs on my legs just don't grow in anymore.
I do find my Braun to be much more efficent than my previous model, which I believe was a Remington. The Braun ...
