Braun LS 5100 Silk+soft Bodyshave

I was fed up of disposables going rusty after one use and wanted something that I could use over and over again. I didn't have a lot of money to spend- i just wanted a basic shaver for my legs. However, after browsing vigouresly i saw the 'Braun Silk and Soft Body Shave 5100' and thought it a good deal. I was only looking for cheap leg shaver but to my suprise, the decription stated: underarm shaving, bikini trim AND leg shaving. My husband bought this shaver as a present for me last christmas. I have used a large number of electric shavers before and have been sadly dissapointed in the results, often resluting in a less than close shave and a large amount of reaction and itchiness afterwards due to sensitive skin. However, on using this one for the first time, I was impressed not only with the resulting shave and the closeness of the cut, I was also impressed with the ease of use and the length of time that the unit was able to be used once charged. I bought this shaver from Argos for approx. £25 in search for something faster and more accurate than a hand held razor. It looks very nice as a shaver, and comes complete with 2 changing heads, a cleaning brush, 2 AA batteries and instruction booklet. I was looking forward to trying the shaver out, but I was then let down by it's performance. I'm sorry to say that this shaver is terrible. It is extremely loud! One reason I wanted an electric shaver was to effectively remove body hair while I was on holiday, but I decided not to take this as it was so loud I would have been embarrassed to use ... more
