It's designed in to reduce splashing too. You also get a 600ml beaker with lid to do your blending in. It also has a soft grip section so if you're doing a lot of bledning all in one go it's not uncomfortable to hold.

This is so simple ... ...in and press one of the two buttons depending on whether you want high or low speed blending. There's nothing more to it than that.
**Cleaning**
Th fact the bottom half is detachable makes this so easy to clean. You literally twist it off and clean the blender mechanism. You don't put the electrical part anywhere near the water. And the bottom section is even dishwasher safe.

**Safety** The fact that this is a blade at spinning at high speed means it's not likely to be 100% safe. The blade is housed in the bottom section of the blender. As long as you use the blender correctly and keep your fingers away from the blade before turning it on then you shouldn't have any problems.
**Price** I bought my blender from Argos for £19.45 but they have it on offer at the moment (at time of writing review) for £14.45. This is an absolute bargain considering hte next model down which only has one speed is £13.99
**My experience** Although I love my blender and use it all the time to make bulk amounts of soups to freeze and to make fruit smoothies I did have a problem when I first bought it and had to have it replaced. The first one I bought had a broken motor but Argos replaced it for me straight away and I've had no problems since. It's easy to keep clean. The beaker is really hand for making smoothies although I tend to belnd up my soupd in the pan rather than have to pour hot liquid into the beaker.
**Overview** Overall I think this blender is real value for money, even without the offer. It's easy to clean, simple to use and helps me make lovely food! I'd definitely recommend.
