    Advantages Advantages Cleans teeth effectively and at a reasonable price. Long battery life.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not sure the pressure sensor light is absolutely necessary

    On one of my frequent trips home to the north, I managed to leave my electric toothbrush behind in the bathroom and after a couple of days of manual scrubbing, I decided enough was enough and headed off to Boots for a replacement. After checking out all the many variants offered by Braun, I felt that for what the multi-mode models offered it simply wasn't worth any additional expense and I could do without most of the bells and whistles so plumped for the Professional Care 1000 which is the single mode 'Daily Clean' model.     Advantages Advantages Can see/feel the different in one clean, easy to use, removes plaque, deep clean, great oral hygin

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Low battery without warning, need English adaptor to be able to charge, charging is far too LONG

    Oral B TV adverts really pull me in and I am always fascinated that an electric tooth brush can clean 10 times more and remove more plaque than a manual toothbrush with regular brushing. When I used a manual toothbrush I always tried to brush my teeth for the recommended two minutes, brushing the sides, top and not forgetting to brush your teeth inside your mouth but doing this with a manual toothbrush I always found tricky to do and cant get into those tight corners and give myself a proper clean, which meant plague can build up and cause gum problems as well as tooth decay.     Braun Oral-B prfessional care I have suffered from problems with my gums for some time as anyone who read my review on the subject will remember. After treatment with the dentist, the hygienist and using corsodyl and other precautionary measures the gingivitis cleared up but my dentist told me that due to smoking and incorrect brushing it could come back and that I should invest in buying an electric toothbrush.
