Braun SI 4000

Advantages: Good design, high power, easy to clean, blade and stem are dishwasherproof
Disadvantages: Fragile beaker

...-known appliance manufacturers, plus a couple of unknown cheaper brands. However the Braun MR4000 has the highest rated motor (400W) which was the deciding factor. Blending root veg. to make soup is a frequent task for me and makes the motor work hard. With this blender, the blade and housing come right off for washing, with just a twist, so no problems for arthritic hands (which I will probably have in a year or two!). The instructions say this part is dishwasher safe. The parts click simply and securely back together. The buttons are covered with a rubberised pad, helping to keep the appliance clean and clear of any bits trying to find a way inside. ...I previously had a braun epilator but found it hard to use on armpits as it was corded (not easy to use). This one is smaller and it is great that is bodycurved this makes it get a lot of hairs in one go and work really quickly. On a full charge of 16 hours you get 60 minutes of usage time plenty for both legs. It is allso easy to hold and move because of ths shape, very well designed with a women in mind. You can allso get a corded one, which is pink , this would be just as good but I like having it cordless. I found it worked better using in a circular motion and to exfoliate after. I would highly recommend this epilator. I wont be shaving again!!!!! It costs £39.99 from argos. I found it painfull to start with and it got easier. Exfoliate after use is ideal.... Read review
