Advantages Advantages Lightweight electric tooth brush - easy to use and a very effective cleaner. Prevents over brushing.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lack of indicator to show battery power is running low. Expensive replacement toothbrush heads.

A year or so ago, I decided to buy the Oral B Sonic Complete due to ongoing toothache and gum problems. A family trip to Center Parcs was completely marred for me as I had chronic toothache throughout, and dare not venture in any of the more boisterous pools in case someone inadvertently knocked my poor mouth. Many years of over brushing with a manual toothbrush seemed to have been caused my gums to recede, thus making my teeth far too exposed and over sensitive to any extremes of temperature or sensation. I knew I was to blame, as my toothbrushes wore out far quicker than anyone else's I ... more

Advantages Advantages Well designed, easy to use, fast and efficient, does what it says, three speeds.

Disadvantages Disadvantages No battery indicator, hard to find now, naff plastic travel case, battery life.

When the first Sonic toothbrush came to my attention it was around 1998 that the company Ultrasonex seemed to have the perfect brush on the market. However as a student I staved off buying one because I never saw any replacement brushes anywhere else other than at Argos. Instead I went for a mass company name in the UK such as Philips and during that time amidst other reviews of the same brush, I was lucky to have a brush model that didn't lose power after a week's use. Philips Sonicare ranges have improved over the years and up until now its only been recently that my old brush unit has ... more

    Advantages Advantages cleans well

Disadvantages Disadvantages on/off button not well placed

About two years ago when I went to the dentist’s to have plaque removed (which I have done every four months) the assistant said that my gums didn’t look too good because I obviously used too much force when brushing and she asked which toothbrush I used. I answered, “Oral-B Professional Care 5000, you recommended it to me.” She wasn’t embarrassed at all but went on, “We know better now, you should use Oral-B Sonic Complete, it’s more advanced technologically.” The advertising slogan ‘Recommended by Dentists’ is true in my case. Because they’re really convinced of the quality or because they ... more

Advantages Advantages Noticably cleaner teeth, battery run-time

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Cost

I bought this toothbrush only because I had a £100 Boots gift voucher that needed using up... I'm glad I did now!! Dispite being quite expensive, this toothrush is fantastic for bringing up your teeth a treat. At first, the sonic pulses are a little strange to get used too, and bloody gums are normal for the first few attempts. Once you get into the swing of things, the crap just falls off your teeth. The battery life on this toothbrush is also really good, going for almost a week between charges. In the box, you'll get a few spare heads as well, so you wont need to go out and buy any for a ... more

Advantages Advantages My teeth have never been so clean, robust long lasting product

    Disadvantages Disadvantages The price

I have had my Oral-B Sonic Complete for nearly two years now and am still really pleased with it. I had been using standard electric toothbrushes for many years, and had wanted to make the move to a Sonic brush but was put off by the price. Having now owned a sonic brush I would never go back. The first few times you use a sonic brush the sensation can be quite odd. My partner can not use it because it makes his nose tingle, but I have never had that problem, and I quickly got used to the vibration in my mouth. This brush has a timer which lets you know not only when your two minutes brushing ... more
