My partner had to redeem himself big style at Christmas after buying me a pair of carpet slippers even my granny wouldn't wear last year, and he certain did with the Tassimo.
The black and silver machine fits nicely in the corner of my kitchen standing approx 30 cm high, width and breadth 25cm x 25cm (just higher than a slimline kettle and the width of two slimline kettles).
Its easy to clean and easy to use (my nine year old son loves to use it)! just lift up the lid, pop in your chosen pod and press auto (making sure you have water in it of course)! When the water needs replacing all the lights flash like a spaceship!
There's quite a variety to choose from some of which are decaf, classic, cappachino, hot chocolate and breakfast tea.
The decaf is great for me when I want a cuppa in the evening and don't want to be staring at the ceiling all night! It tastes just as good as the classic, in fact I can't taste the difference.
The classic is a good all round full bodied cup of ground coffee, great for any time of the day!
The cappachino is nice but I find it a little too expensive you receive 2 less in the box due to the separate cafe cremas, each box is around £3.85 per box with 20 in a box and 18 in the cappachino box.
My eldest son whose 16 likes the hot chocolate but I must be honest its nothing special, its no different from a cheapo sachet variety.
The breakfast tea is lovely, just tastes like you've bothered to get the tea pot out!
Do shop around though because supermarkets sometimes do deals like buy three boxes for £10.00.
Another tip for you is sometimes supermarkets run out of your favourite flavour, if you like the classic which seems to be the most popular, go for the expresso, and when you have pressed the auto and have received your little measure in the cup, just press the manual button until you have the desired amount, it is absolutely gorgeous and you even have a froth on top more than you get with the classic!
The machine also has an adjustable base so you can put in small or large cups.
To me this machine is a fantastic present either to a loved one or even a wedding present or for yourself for just sheer indulgence and a proper cup of coffee with no mess, no coffee bits all over the place, no filters to clean its great!
And your friends will notice the difference, in fact when you go to their house you secretly wish you could take the machine with you!
