I absolutely adore my Tassimo, it was a spur of the moment buy whilst I was in Argos looking for a gift. I got it in silver to match the rest of my kitchen appliances. I thought it was a fair price, I paid £99.99, I know it seems quite expensive for a brewing machine but as well as basic coffee you can have cappuccino's, latte's, tea and even hot chocolate. I thought it was a bargain.

With my Tassimo I got the machine (obviously), a cleaning disc, a cleaning tool, User guide, quick start card and a registration card.

I love the design of this machine, it's really sleek and shiny (for now). It is mainly silver but the cup stand is a nice gleaming black. It looks really modern and fits in brilliantly with my kitchen décor. There is a 1 litre water tank. It has an adjustable cup stand and drip tray. It also does not take up a lot of space on my worktop as it is a little taller than my kettle but not as wide as my two slice toaster (just fits nicely in between the two). There is the brand name printed on the front of the machine and four lights that will flash for Auto, Manual, Heating and Standby, this will always let you know what your machine is up to. There is also a large start/stop button that is very hard to miss.

Using the machine is really very simple, you are advised to use fresh, cold water. To avoid spillages you should make sure that you use the correct size of cup or mug. For example Espresso is 75ml, Cappuccino's are 200ml and I believe that the rest of them are around 280ml. All you have to do is turn on the machine using the on/off switch located on the back, open the brew mechanism and start the water heater. You will know if you have done this correctly as the heating light will flash.

You should make sure you clean your machine quite regularly and also use a descaler on occasion, you are provided a cleaning disc when you get your machine. I cleaned my machine before using it just to make sure. You must also make sure that you have water in the water container before starting the machine. You then put a Tassimo disc (choice of drink) into the disc holder with the label facing down and then close the brew mechanism by pressing the clamp firmly. The machine will automatically heat the water for to the right temp for your chosen brew. When the auto light flashes you just press the start/stop button. You have the option of brewing your drink manually rather than automatically, you should use this option if you prefer to choose your drinks strength or size.

I believe this is a top drinks machine, I love to relax with a nice cup of coffee or sit in front of the telly at night with a cup of hot choccy. The drinks always taste fresh and all this with just the touch of a button. Its got fantastic technology, when you put a new Tassimo disc in the machine it reads the discs bar code and tells the machine what its size is, how long it takes to brew and also at exactly what temperature it needs to be at. It is not covered with loads of complicated buttons, everything is laid out for you in a very simple manner. It is easy to clean the outside of the machine, all I do is run a damp cloth over it and hey presto, shiny machine again!!!!!

There is only one downside to owning a Tassimo and that is the price of the drink discs. There are a variety of Tassimo Discs that you can buy such as coffees, teas and even hot chocolate. They cost around £3 a pack from a local supermarket. I have listed a few that are sold in my local supermarket:

Tassimo Kenco Classic Blend - 20x8g
Tassimo Kenco Cappuccino 256g
Tassimo Kenco Caffe Crema 18x8g
Tassimo Kenco Latte 264g
Tassimo Kenco Decaffeinated Coffee 144g
Tassimo Kenco Espresso 112g
Tassimo Suchard Chocolate 432g
Tassimo Twinings English Tea 50g

Depending where you live you may have more options than I have above.

This is a fantastic piece of kitchenware and one that I would definitely recommend.

Hope this helps!!!!
