very helpful
Advantages: very stylish in my kitchen Disadvantages: a long time delay before starting.
as a mum, I like making bread at home, but I uselly use my bread machine, too to do the mixture for me, as I cook baguettes, and other type of bread, that needs to rise and well mixed, so my bread machine, was very helpful, just put the ingredeints, came back at the end of the cycle, to have a great dough, very happy with this, also with pizza, and dognuts, it makes the hard work, the time I'm out or doind other thing.
I bought this on ebay a year ...

Brilliant Bread Every Time - Panasonic SD 254
Advantages: The best bread you will ever taste, on a timer just ready in time for breakfast. Disadvantages: If you can't wait since it smells so good... you might burn your fingers like me!
This Panasonic SD 254 bread maker was a spur-of-the-moment impulse buy from Macro when it was on special offer about a year ago, for £50. My mother needs to eat a gluten-free diet which means she cannot eat regular bread but with this machine she has been able to create loaves both from a gluten-free bread book and also just herself from the skill she has honed with this machine. I have tried both the shop bought and homemade wheat-free bread and ... ...excellent touch was the simple Panasonic Bread Cookbook which has now found itself well and truly thumbed as the recipes it contains make the best tasting bread I have ever had. For making regular bread loaves I have found the pleasure of this machine to be exquisite. Admittedly due to laziness I only really have this machine ready and set on the timer to make bread for a Sunday morning. On Saturday night before going to bed I pour all the ingredients ...

Drop down dough hook problems.
Advantages: None over other machines. Disadvantages: Larger holes after removing hook
We have been using breadmaking machines for 10 years.
Needing a replacement machine we liked the idea of a drop down dough hook, which hopefully would alleviate the one problem with these machines, the hole in the bottom of the loaf.
However, after two weeks of use, about 6 loaves, I would regard this feature as a total failure.
The hook is a loose fit on the drive spindle, and the hook has so far been well impregnated in the loaf on every occasion, ...

Panasonic Breadmaker 200
Advantages: Easy to use, simple directions, cooks to perfection. Disadvantages: Cleaning oven interior. Decrumbing.
...around I found that the Panasonic suited my requirements. Simple directions on how to use. A nice selection of recipies and a large capacity.
Whilst I do enjoy making bread by hand, having a Panasonic bread maker allows me to spend more time doing other things I enjoy as well.
My only gripe is, cleaning the oven, not the bowl. I find it is not a matter of, simply wipe out, there is residue of splattered flour which burns onto the metal surface ... ...a matter of dropping the bottom like a toaster. A damp cloth and turning the machine upside down is required.
I would give my Panasonic model 41/2 out of 5 stars. I'm sold, Hoo roo, better go and put the bread maker on. Mim. ...

Kenwood Breadmaker BM250
Advantages: Price, size and ease of use. Disadvantages: Recipes aren't very successful
I have had my Kenwood breadmaker for about 4 months and I have to say that I have been very pleased with it.
I had looked at the more expensive breadmakers but decided on the Kenwood as I have other Kenwood products which Im very happy with.
To start with it's a good size, not too big and doesn't take up a lot of room on my work surface.
It's very easy to use, particularly the timer which I use a lot as I like to bake during the night using off ... ...the baking pan in place and I found these quite tight at first but they have gradually slackened off with use. Overall I think the Kenwood BM250 is very good value for money and I would recommend it as long as you don't use the recipes provided. ...
