Advantages: Ease Of use Disadvantages: practice makes perfect
...I then come across this Breville BR11 at Very reduced from £120 to £80 I had to have it right price celebrity chef endorsement right colour perfection next day delivery, Heven.. Well it does everything except make the tea ( I am working on that one ) . Anyway looks great and can produce loaves from 750g to 1.5kg . Very easy to use just throw everything in, in order as the recipe saysand it will knead prove and bake, but you MUST be very accurate ... ...be a complete disaster!! Ok so I had not read the manual thoroughly. Let's try again, and Oh my what a result just as I had imagined, I could not get the butter onto the hot bread quick enough. I have made several now with varying degrees of success but apart from the first one all have been very edible indeed . Can be used to bake cakes/sconesand jams amongst other items. Pre set menu programmes that you can modify as you get more confident along ...

...bough out Antony Worrall Thompson Breville Br8 Bread Machine almost 2 years ago, bought for my wife, but used by both of us. This was to replace a not-so-good Murphy Richards machine which made yeasty bread and misshaped loaves.
The Br8 was getting mixed reviews at the time, some good and some bad, but it was the top-of-the-range model, which of course meant pricey (at around £100-£120), but look at it, it was shiny and very pretty, it must be good!
... ...though I was admittedly very unsure how much use this thing got, I mean, for a family of four, how was my wife going to make enough bread to feed us all? So as I do with anything I doubt the rest of the family will use, I kept the receipt just in case, but I will tell you know, that receipt has long since been binned...
Let me give you a rundown of the features:
-68 Baking and Kneading options: Ok, it’s a bread machine, so it makes bread yes? Well, ...

Dough Boy
Advantages: Ace Disadvantages: local shops don't sell the right ingrdients
After all the Christmas and New Year gorging, and feasting, I am currently on a diet of home made bread and home made soup, in an attempt to loose the pounds piled on over Christmas
THE REASON
I have been after one of these bread making machines for some years now, but when they first came out they were horrendously expensive…about a hundred quid for a decent one, and I just couldn’t afford it.
Imagine my delight when I was trogging ... ...see this lil’ beauty for £19.99, COOOOOOeeeeee…! A massive price drop from the usual £56 - £64 on-line price. The reason it was so low in price was because it had B-grade stamped on the box like it was a slight second or something. I inspected it with all my Sherlock Holmes magnifying glass looking for any obvious signs of damage or scratches, but found nothing. As the B-grade status did not affect the manufacturers 1-year guarantee, ...

Freshly baked bread every day!
Advantages: Easy to use and clean. Looks nice Disadvantages: Large and bulky
I bought the Cookworks breadmaker from Argos for only £29. I was sceptical at how a product so cheap would perform, especially as other breadmakers can cost over £100. However, I have not been disappointed yet. The machine is available in either stainless steel or white. I went for the stainless steel as it looks more contemporary and also more expensive than the white plastic version (which it is but only by about £2 or £3). It was bigger than I ... ...the worktop, but as we have been using it everyday it seems pointless to keep putting it in a cupboard and dragging it out again. An important thing to remember is that you must burn away the oil before use, this is all explained on the instructions. This gives off a peculiar smell and some black smoke which was quite disconcerting. The main ingredients needed to make a simple loaf of bread were: bread flour, dried milk powder, salt, butter, yeast ...
