WOW - makes bread easy!
Review of Morphy Richards 48280 FAST BAKE by
dhillcrest
Advantages: Really works with good results and easy to use
Disadvantages: None yet - a bit bulky
Wow.
I went to Tesco's the other day and a loaf of Warburtons was £1.45. Bloody hell I thought. And then I thought Bugger. And then I thought about women because my seven minutes was up. And then I was back to bread again.
Now compare that to 55p for a bag of Tesco's own bread mix. Aha! Cheapy! Well sort of. Using a breadmaker has obvious implications on your electricity bill and some of the programs are quite long but cheaper than Warburtons, ... ...present. It has a use. Socks do not. Well thats a lie I suppose but they have a boring use. Ive always been a bit envious of my sisters electric time-savers and I must have mentioned this to her in passing because the big fat red one bought me one for Christmas. we thought it was an expresso machine but it definately aint.
Getting it going

Having never used one before I thought it might be tricky but I was oh-so-wrong. It ...

Very verstaile bread maker.
Review of Morphy Richards 48268 by
khuzkhuz
Advantages: Has timer and keep warm function.
Disadvantages: sometimes the kneader, get's stuck in the bottom of loaf.....
I bought this bread maker about a year ago from Amazon, I paid £34.99 and I am very happy with it, makes a lovely loaf and also you can bake cakes in it, takes alittle more prep but worth it. I have not tried to make jam in yet though.
Also you can make doughs also, i have done this for bread rolls, which th edough is lovely light and fluffy and simply shape into 6-8 rolls and bake in the oven. It's a very verstaile machine.
ONE problem- the kneader ...

Bake me some bread as fast as you can
Review of Morphy Richards 48245 by
historywitch
Advantages: Small, cheap, easy to use, creates bread and dough with no hassle
Disadvantages: Few little niggly problems.
...we ended up purchasing this Morphy Richards Compact Breadmaker and so far we are pretty pleased with it.
When pulled out to the requisite few centimetres away from the wall, the worktop space it takes up is about 35cm x 30cm. This small size means it fits in nicely in the dead space between my microwave and kettle with sufficient space to still be able to prepare food.
*****Machine Layout********
The display panel is located on the top of the ... ...and browning level. It is reasonably well set out, but the screen’s location can mean those of a shorter stature (like my mum!) may struggle to see what they have selected. The panel also does not light up and as it is placed in the darkest corner of my kitchen I often have to pull the machine out or tilt it a little towards to light in order to check that I have chosen the correct setting.
Underneath the panel are the two Time buttons with up and ...

Smell That!!
Review of Morphy Richards 48280 by
phoenixgreen
Advantages: Makes wonderful bread and cake with very little effort from moi!
Disadvantages: Makes moi and Himself very fat on said wonderful bread and cake!
The Art of Acquiring Unwanted Machinery
I love home-made bread. There’s something about the smell of brad proving over a warm oven that comforts and calms. It’s a smell which also has the function of making me incredibly hungry – don’t know about you, but I’m sure that’s why the big supermarkets stream the isles with bakery smells, just to make you feel hungry and buy more food as a result! In my opinion, there is nothing better than a slice of ... ...dark crust, and a bowl of hot, steamy soup. The flavour isn’t important, but the ritual of dunking bread you’ve made into soup you’ve made, and relishing those flavours and that sensation of having worked hard to make it all is just the best thing ever, in culinary terms. Himself and I recently visited Newcastle’s Green Festival, where lots of earth conscious folk get together and have a lovely weekend in the sunshine in the park. One of the discussions ...

Our great choice The Murphy Richards 48300
Review of Morphy Richards 48300 by
ianpaynter
Advantages: Easy to use, and simple maintenance, and requires only small amounts of yeast to make lovely bread which is healthier than some bread makers
Disadvantages: One day bread makers will be smaller
This is our 3rd breadmaker we have owned in the last 12 years. The whole family are health concious and this had a big part to play in the choice of purchase.
The breadmaker requires only a small amount of yeast compaired to alot of others that we looked at in this price range, which with low yeast makes it healthier to eat, it is very easy to use, clean, modern looking, and is light weight.
There are many different functions available, to make ...
