Jummy jummy in my tummy -Home made bread is lovely
Review of Panasonic SD 254 by fluke27

Advantages: fresh un mucked about bread
Disadvantages: can take long to make if using normal programme not rapid

I recently bought this for myself as i wanted to started making my own bread/cakes buns from scratch. This machine came highly recommened and it didnt fail to impress me. Very easy to use with a little bit of practise, oh and not forgetting to put the kneeding blade before adding ingrediants etc.. helps !! At first using the normal programme for medium white loaf seemed to go on forever as it does take 4 hours. But i highly recommend using the fast ...
...there is a timer feature on it which means you can set it to start say before you get up in the morning so you can wake up to the lovely smell of freash bread, but is that a good idea because you will just want to eat it all ! I find using the fast bake option more than adequate for general sandwich bread , and i have made gingerbread in it also. As i have only had it for two weeks so far i havent quite got round to trying any of the other programmes ... Read review

Fresh hot bread on tap anyone?
Review of Panasonic SD 255 by curious_k

Advantages: delicious recipes, easy and flexible to use, pizza, rye, seed, cake and roll options
Disadvantages: blade getting stuck in bread, need to be at home when cycle finishes

I've had mine for about 6 months and love it. Although the price tag is hefty (£95-100 new from mainstream retailers, £80 ex-display or refurbished) it is honestly worth it if you love bread. Size: 37x34x26 - imagine a miniature microwave turned on end. Then you have to have space to open the lid, as it's "top loading". The pan sits inside; you can make M, L or XL sized loaves. The smallest size is similar to unsliced loaves in Sainsbury's. To feed ...
...Options: once the ingredients are in, you can 'rapid bake' a loaf in 3 hours, or standard bake in 5 hours (the crust will be crispier and nicer). Or you can program your bread to be ready later - up to 13 hours (ready when you get up!). You can also ask it to mix and rise the dough without baking it - great for cake, pizza and bread roll making. The pizza dough recipe makes enough for 2 medium pizzas, and seriously, you will never go back to supermarket ... Read review

Guaranteed way to sell your house
Review of Panasonic SD253 by AndrewPo

Advantages: Easy to clean, wide range of bread and cake recipes, small footprint
Disadvantages: slightly noisy

...recipes to volumes. The Panasonic has three loaf-size options for many recipes M, L and XL (varying in height only, and approximately corresponding to the range of sizes found in a supermarket) and many baking options including whole wheat (5 hours), rye (3.5 hours) basic white and brown loaves (4 hours), sandwich (crustless, 5 hours), French (6 hours) and Italian (4.5 hours) gluten-free (2 hours) and also a dough only setting so you can cook rolls ...
...pizza mode. There are quick loaf modes too, which can be finished in under 2 hour buts require slightly different recipes and are perhaps less consistent in quality. The results are good. Not perhaps the best bread I have ever eaten, but certainly the freshest. It really doesn't cut easily straight from the machine unless you give it a chance to cool down a little, which can be frustrating. The basic white or brown loaves are the easiest, but you ... The smell of freshly baked bread
Review of Panasonic SD252 by jacksonsuffolk

Advantages: Outstanding bread!
Disadvantages: Make sure you use the right yeast!

I saw this breadmaker on offer in John Lewis just before Christmas and I simply had to buy it. It was half price and came with a free bakery book. I've had a few bread makers in my time and, in terms of appearance, they all look pretty similar. The white finish and control panel on top with waterproof buttons and a small LED display make is a pretty common theme among bread makers so I shall not dwell on it here. What really distinguishes one machine ...
...programmes available, useability and, of course, the quality of the bread! Now, I am something of a bread-aholic, and I am pretty choosy too! I only like really soft, crusty, freshly baked bread, and that was what I was hoping for when I bought this breadmaker. I was not disappointed. 1) Range of programmes available The bread maker is extremely well designed and has a vast range of combinations of types of bread. You can vary the bread by varying ... Give us this day our daily Breadmaker ....
Review of Panasonic SD251 by FrooTee

Advantages: Minimum effort achieves maximum results
Disadvantages: No 'peeking' window

PANASONIC ‘Bread Bakery’ TM BREAD MAKER Minimum effort achieves maximum results..... My Panasonic SD-251 is one of the newest gadgets to enter the Colebeck household kitchen and I have to say that I cannot praise it highly enough, here’s why. I don’t have to spend time and energy mixing, kneading and proving (not that I ever did, you understand, but it sounds good!!) the machine does it all for me. Included with the Panasonic ...
...‘perfect’ loaf. This new Panasonic ‘Bread Bakery’ TM enables a choice of three loaf sizes; medium, large and extra large (why not small, medium and large? you ask I don’t know) you can even select the crust colour you desire! There is a raisin mode where the machine ‘beeps’ allowing the addition of fruit/ nuts or any other ingredients to be added at a later stage to ensure the fruit/nuts/other ingredients ... Read review
