Comfort and a forgiving fit
Advantages: Supportive, comfortable, easy to use, will see you through many months (or years) of nursing Disadvantages: Elastic can bunch up
The first Bravado nursing bra I bought felt like an incredible indulgence at nearly £20 seven years ago, but it has proved to be a worthwhile investment as it is still going strong four children later! In fact, it has been joined by several more, as these bras have seen me through nearly eight years of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The style may not be the most flattering or sexy, but for sheer comfort they win hands-down, and at least there are ... ...through too obviously.
The Bravado has a wide band of elastic which gives a good supportive base and helps the fit to be as forgiving as it is. As a nursing bra this works well, but I have found that it was sometimes uncomfortable to wear in mid to late pregnancy (although this is sold as a maternity bra as well as a nursing bra) because it tended to bunch up and dig in. This is the only criticism I have, but if you want the Bravado to last you ...

More answers to breastfeeding
Advantages: getting more attractive than the nursing bras used to be Disadvantages: i feel they are expensive
As an experienced breast feeder (fed both my children upto one year) I think i can say I have pretty much trawled all the outlets that sell nursing bras and I must say for me M&S have been the best yet. If you get a good store they can be excellent at measuring/fitting infact the Croydon store for me did an absolutely fabulous job.
As nursing bras go though M&S are in my opinion getting there in the more attractive designs - as having breastfed ... ...baby focused underwear. I wanted, after a while, to continue to breastfeed but feel a bit like the old me as well and at least put on a bra that made me feel a bit more attractive. You know what I mean ladies nice underwear inside makes you feel better about yourself on the outside. The M&S designs are certainly starting to look like the noraml underwear you used to wear. The price of these products though is I still feel somewhat on the high side ...

best kept bra secret, for biguns, no wires
Advantages: charity, mail order, home fitting, choice of colour, wash well Disadvantages: none ... only marketed to brestfeeders ! but can be ordered by anyone
I purchased my first nct bra back 7 years ago. I have always had large breasts, in fact pregnancy made little difference to the size, I stopped brest feeding my second child over 4 years ago.
But do you know the bras are still my favourite. You see as many large brest sized women I am hh cup, the main staple of bras is doreen !! , how I have suffered the rashes and the heat , the cheesy sweaty smell in the summer at the end of the day + having to ... ...machine washed. The NCT (National childbirth trust) Mava, bra is fab. Mostly cotton when you need it, washed in the machine, costs about £22 which beleive me is cheap.
I felt like a circus freek trying to get a bra in my home town, in the one shop they had to order one, they agreed to deliver it, imagine my suprize when a truck pulled up big enough to move house just to deliver my bra ! Big I,m not quite that big please. The Nct also offer a fiiting ...

maternity bra
Advantages: easyer to wear than a normal bra Disadvantages: price
Maternity bras were something i didnt realy think anything about during my pregnancy but soon realised why i needed one after she was born.
Maternity bras dont have any wires in them and are supportive using elastic instead which makes them a lot more comfortable for the first week than an underwired bra but if you are not going to breast feed i would just buy a sports bra as these are cheaper as my maternity bras cost me £20 each from mothercare.
... ...must have as they have a clip on the bottom of the sholder strap to allow you to un clip the material of the cup of the bras from one bust to feed baby without having to undo the back of the bra which still provides added support and the other breast is still completely supported and as any mother will know support is necessary at the early stages as your breasts are too painfull to be allowed to move anywhere on there own.
They offer a lot more ...

No need to get in a flap
Advantages: Comfortable and easy to use Disadvantages: Limited choice of sizes within the 34B to 42C
...1/2 years old and my Boots Maternity and Nursing Bras are just giving up the ghost.
The nursing bra is easy to use, with clip on the strap which with a little practice is soon easy to do one handed. The shoulder straps attach to the strap that goes around your body so even when the flap is open you are still getting the full support. Although I never tried any of the bras with zips friends who did said all of them caught themselves at least once ... ...now cost £19 of the Boots website www.wellbeing.com and are now only availabe in white, I did have a black one too. They also come in a range of sizes from 34B to 42C and do include some E cups but I do advise you check that they have your particular size available before you decide on one of these bras as not all sizes are included. Boots do seem to have forgotten that pregnant and nursing mothers come in a much wider range of sizes than their limited ...
