Advantages: 15 bar pump for less than £50 Disadvantages: Cheap machine, cheap components

The negative can outweight he positive though. The machine is easy to use but very difficult to make a nice coffee. It honestly took me nearly 4 months to master the creation of my perfect coffee. Now, ... ...quite fussy when it comes to my coffee but 4 months of experimenting?
You need to get the grind of the bean perfect, i would recommend 2.5 for this machine. Any more or if you pack the coffee to tightly the seal will not take the back pressure and you end up with the group bursting out and grinds going everywhere, I mean everywhere!

Any less than 2.5 and you end up with a really watery espresso with most of the grinds floating around the cup. I buy my coffee freshly ground from my local shop, with some roasts and blends outperforming others when using the machine.
The steamer side is actually very good. I never use the black plastic frother accessory as this just bubbles the milk and doesn't expand it.
The steamer, when used right, froths the milk with great ease, usually taking 3 steams from the machine, 1 to heat up the milk, 1 to expand it and 1 to bring it to temperature. The steamer only lasts for 20-40 secs each time.
I have also used this to make my cold and flu remedy, melted lockets, lemon, sugar and honey! Works like a charm.
I have had my machine for just over a year now, unfortunately the seal has just burst and am looking for a replacement seal.
I recently bought the magimix nespresso, which makes the best espresso but is no comparison for steaming when it comes to the warrel thomson model. £300 compared to £50!
