Breville JK119 ~ Cuppa during the adverts

Advantages: Design, Look, Speed of boil
Disadvantages: None

Up until November 2008 I had always used the Breville JK52 model that was until it blown up and stopped working. So here is a review of the item that I bought to replace the JK52 model. I need to buy another kettle which was quick at boiling and was of course stylish. As I had had my last Breville since November 2005 I was more than happy to buy another Breville. I decided on the Breville JK119 Model Price and Availability Argos ~ £29.00 collection for free Additions Direct £29.90 and up to £3.50 delivery Amazon £31.00 free delivery Why this model Well as I have already said I wanted another Breville as I had been happy with the previous model that was until it died. However I did look around the internet to insure that I was doing the best thing. I really wanted a kettle that was funky, stylish ...

The best top-end automatic espresso machine?

Advantages: Temperature of beverage; Taste; Great looks; Large water capacity; Quiet operation
Disadvantages: Price of consumables; central coffee spout could raise higher

I have just replaced my Gaggia Titanium which after 3 months decided to break down. I decided rather than replace with the same machine to go with the much-praised Jura machines. The Z5 particularly appealed with it's unique One-Touch Cappucino function, which avoids the clumsy looking "automatic frothing attachments" found on so many machines. The machine was easy to set up, and has almost the same footprint as the Titanium, so doesn't take up too much space. It comes with a classy looking thermal milk container (1 litre) which keeps milk at the ready and chilled for up to 8 hours. The front of the machine is brushed aluminium (not plastic as in many of the Jura machines) which is far easier to keep clean than the Titanium's brushed stainless steel (fingerprints!). The display prompts are clear (product names such as "1 espresso ...

Breville makes your sandwiches feel toasty all over

Advantages: User friendly, toasts quickly and so easy to keep clean
Disadvantages: The catch can be a little tight to close

there hands with the idea. But the most popular brand has to be from the boffins at the Australian company known as Breville, who have created many different types of sandwich toasters. The sandwich toaster I actually own, and have done for a while now, is from the mentioned Breville range and is, in my opinion, a godsend when it comes to creating warm sandwiches for all the family, in a matter of minutes. ** THE TECHNICAL BITS first? This sandwich toaster comes with removable easy to clean, dishwasher safe, heating plates to toast your bread and melt the filling to perfection. It has a simple single heat setting with a built in thermostat to so the ?plates? never exceed a set temperature, the little green and red light taking turns to illuminate dependant on the units temperature. Unfortunately though ...
