...the temptation to buy a Breville CM8 when I saw it on offer for £55.
Apart from the obvious requirement to make gorgeous coffee the fact that the machine fitted in to the general décor with it's stainless steel finish was a real plus point for me so after buying it I was like a child with a new toy when it arrived. Using the machine is very easy, basically the top flips open, you pour in some instant coffee granules and the milk into the clearly ... ...starts to heat up the milk it blends the milk with the coffee and it pours directly into the cup placed within the base. See it couldn't be easier. Using the transparent measuring section to the right of the machine means that making larger cups of coffee is a breeze and on top of all this you can make adjustments to the amount of coffee and liquid to make coffees stronger or weaker depending on your own personal tastes. My wife is a big fan of milky ...

...is the steam in the breville that makes your drink what it should be ! With my birthday approaching in december, i was asked what i would like, i racked my brains until i saw the breville advertised on tv, i did a bit of research online and settled on that . It is so easy to use, just take your instant coffee granules, your choice of milk, whack em in the machine and youve got a lovely frothy cappuccino, latte, or even hot chocolate, you can also ... ...coffee's etc. I would recommend that you use a good quality coffee granule, my fave is from M&S ! Just follow the simple instructions that are included and make sure you also clean the machine using the enclosed procedures every time you use the machine. Mine also had a voucher enclosed, which i could send off to receive a free pair of cappuccino cups and saucers.
I felt like a proper barista as the steam heated through and produced that satisfying ...

its seems like a great idea and the coffee does taste good if you can keep the machine working properly for more than a couple of weeks. Lots and lots of problems, im on my third machine since christmas 2006
Well thats it the machine has gone back for the final time and i had to get a different model as Curry's have withdrawn it (kind of says it all i think!). Not only did the dial jam again but it poured coffee coloured water all over my kitchen. I certainly wouldn't recommend this machine

I received my first machine as a present last christmas 2006 and at first it made lovely coffee, after a month or so the coffe got stuck in the dispenser and the rotary knob broke inside, I returned the machine under warranty and had a new one, this again lasted approx a month and then stopped taking in the milk, desipte cleaning the machine a few times it still would not work, I returned it again and had another new machine, unfortunately the last one did the same thing after a month and stopped taking in the milk. At this point I gave up and had a refund and purchased a differant make of machine.
Obivously there is a design fault with the machine and I would not recommend it to anyone in future.

My mug never fits! This machine is not as simple as its made out, its also very loud and the coffee tastes bland. You have to buy specific kenko discs for the machine, howvere these are not for sale in all your common supermarkets and when you do find them (possibly asda) you will not find a very exciting range. overall a loud complicated waste of time.

As a regular user of this product (Breville JK99 HALO S/S) every day i find its services to be indespensible.
