Breville Opus Swift Glide Iron IR13

Advantages: Dry tank alert light, Extra large, easy-fill water tank
Disadvantages: A little heavy

I might just enjoy compiling this review, as one of my pet hates is ironing. In fact, with no help to me, instead of ironing the small amounts of clothes after washing and drying, I make a huge un-ironed 'clothes mountain' and then moan how much I have to do! This is where the Breville Opus Swift Glide IR13 comes in. It's efficiency to deal with even the most creased of items, it helps me sail through my 'clothes mountain' in no time at all. (well, about an hour or so!) There really are no disadvantages to write home about, apart from the fact that it is a little on the heavy side, otherwise all it's features are advantageous to the ironer. I love the swift glide, as it makes it so much easier to press the clothes. They smooth out very easily with minimum effort, and due to it's powerful element which produces a fast heat up ...

Smooth away them creases

Advantages: very efficient and effective
Disadvantages: could be cheaper

Steam irons are such an essential product that is used in most households; it?s a product that we all can?t live without. Looking your best and taking care of your appearance is something so important these days in life in my opinion. But however when it comes to doing the ironing, there are no voluntaries, it?s a chore bore, and is most dreaded by most of us. Hand irons are device used for garment pressing; irons have been heated directly by gas flame, stove plate heat, or in the case of the modern iron by electricity. Henry W Seely patented the electric iron in 1882. The electric iron was invented in 1882 in France using a carbon arc to create heat, a method that was found to be extremely dangerous. Today?s review I? am writing about is the Breville IR37 OPUS Hydrojet steam iron that I use at my home. The reason why I ...

Review of Breville IR37 OPUS Hydrojet

My husband does the ironing!

Advantages: feels luxurious to use
Disadvantages: the flex gets tangled

Not so long ago we moved house and as there was a new kitchen in the house it seemed only logical that I should have a new iron and anyway my husband was complaining about the old one saying it was too hot! What an ingrate. I let him do the ironing and all he does is complain. Maybe I should have got a new husband. Anyway, I didn't shop for one, I argossed it and came home with a bobby dazzler of a bargain. I chose the Breville Opus IR 37 with 'Hydrajet Steam' as it was on offer at half price. The price in the Argos catalogue is currently£44.95. Basically the iron looks nice and is easy and comfortable to use and it feels quite luxurious. The Opus Hydrajet has several features which make this a product worth owning. The 'Hydrajet' is just a steam jet but this is adjustable by a simple twist knob on the handle. Very handy ...
