Advantages: Stylish, quick boil Disadvantages: Short Life
...I bought the Breville Classique (KT6) from COMET on the 30 August 2001 for what I considered was a fair price (£36) considering its looks and features.
The quite fetching chromed stainless steel body looked a treat in our kitchen (which has stainless appliances) and as we live in a hard water area the scale filter is a noce little touch - shame it is so flimsy as it broke after about 6 months. It has a quickboil (3KW) element and does what you expect in that department.
If you do buy I wish you luck - mine died (element failure) before the 2 year point and the kettle only carries a 1 year guarantee. COMET did not want to know and BREVILLE were not interested. In discussions with BREVILLE they said that they expected the kettle to last around 4 or 5 years but would not stand by that by offering me a replacement at half the retail price...

Advantages: A very Smart Looking Kettle Disadvantages: Doesn't hold a lot of water
...The Breville Kettle is a stunning looking kettle the blue light on when it boils is a smart and novel feature. the water filters very quick. And uses the brita water filter system. And it does make a difference if you live in a hard water area. You will notice a cup of tea tastes a lot cleaner and fresher. It has a rapid boil element and does boil very quick. The only draw back is the filling capacity you're looking at about 4 mugs of tea but apart from that a good kettle. The filters last for about one month and there is an indicator on the top of the kettle to let you know when to change the filter....

...I needed a new kettle and prefer breville as they have always been a good make and i have never had any complains with their items....
i went round my local town centre to look for a decent one and this one caught my eye - also, it was in a sale at hughes for £12.99 so i snapped it up - that was a good deal for breville...
now for the boring bits;-
1.7ltre jug kettle
cordless 8000w
concealed elements
on/off light indicator
water level indicator
plus 1yr warranty
i chose the white one but you could also get it in silver....
I also think it is easy to use and clean and the flex isnt too long so it doesnt get in the way, making this safer than my last kettle......

As a regular user of this product (Breville JK99 HALO S/S) every day i find its services to be indespensible.
For example the inbuilt scope attachment, fourshot and the added ability to make smoothies make this kettle (Breville JK99 HALO S/S) the most more

We bought this fantastic machine today, and are very impressed with it on the very first day! Cost £49.99 from argos. The first thing we extracted were oranges. We used 5 oranges, and it filled up the whole jug. So that gives you a estimate of 4 - 6... more
